Make sure your local police force know you have your old gun back and they don't have the other one still on your licence. I know the shop will send their papers off but make sure you do the same. Im expecting SGC tomorrow and FAC soon, so im going to go back there and spend a small fortune, something i would not be doing if he had been like your friend at AVALON <---- (name and shame again). Slanderous comments need to me moderated and people making them should not hide behind forums anonymously they should be made to make their views to the people concerned personally as I would and then it give the owner of a company the chance to defend themselves. I think that the other side of this story needs investigating and I will make it my business to see the owner to hear his side of the story. The person on this forum who has mentioned burning the shop down is irresponsible and ignorant and no way should have a gun licence and I feel shooting would be a better sport if he went back to playing with himself while watching porn on the internet as this would be a better passion than shooting for him. Fair enough - I think you will find that there have been several calls for avalon's side of the story - the posts are there to be read... I will look forward to any comments made by avalon and hopefully the matter is just a misunderstanding You have no basis to say whether ANY of the comments are slanderous or true - as you say, you don't yet know the 'facts' There is ABSOLUTELY no reason to give any view 'personally' - if a person has bad business conduct then why shouldn't friends be warned? The 'burning down comment' made by one member was CLEARLY made in jest (as proved by the statement IMMEDIATELY following it ) - and if you were a member of PW (FOR MORE THAN A DAY!!!) you would be aware of the *special* sense of humour shared by many on this website. I as i have said i've had dealings with Avalon over the past 15 years odd and don't particularly like the way they treat people. I also use a number of other gun shops. No mention of the service whilst helping you make the right choice which at the time you were quite happy with No mention of the £100 credit that you received when you saw a similar less expensive model in an advert a week later.Something which we were not obliged to do but did so as a gesture of good will. You were informed that your gun would be ready on the Friday so strangely you sent rather a derogatory letter on the Thursday in which I believe you used the word amateurish and then wondered why the owner took exception to you questioning a reputation thats taken over 25 years to build. Avalon Guns is one of the biggest retailers in the industry and prides itself on its customer service so it would be helpful if you posted all the facts to let people make an informed opinion rather than just the parts that suit your own agenda And for the record Danmar94 was not threatened but told his business wasn`t wanted in future and was asked to leave so talk of RFD revocation is somewhat wide of the mark This is the last thing I`ll say on this matter and let Avalons reputation of thousands of happy customers speak for itself Posts insulting staff members and calling for the shop to be burnt down even if said in jest do this forum nor its members no favours at all by the way Thankyou Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
