.17 HMR prices

I've started to use my .223 instead as I can load it for the same price as buying hmr ammo.

 

�14.95 is 30p a shot :good:

 

i dont get this fuss about HMR ammo, even at 30p a shot its cheap, shotgun carts are 19p+ a shot. I pay £9 a box of 50 HMR bullets which is 18p a shot.

sorry to hijack the thread but i,ve never really liked the 20g anybody else use them and like them?

 

 

Yes is use them a lot more now and really like them, accurate and hit hard, especially on foxes :good:

Its more to do with the hmrs limitations due to weather conditions, range and target animal size.

If your paying high prices for ammo you can get a more versatile caliber and reload for the same cost but if you are after a 100m+ rabbit gun without the fuss of reloading then this is the only choice.
