steve_b_wales
A workmate of mine has said that he wants to buy an air rifle. I suggested a PCP one. He has around the £550 mark to spend. What is the best out there for that price (or lower) He only wants it for target practice on some farm land. Steve
tweedledee
i`d reccomend air arms s4-- series.cracking litttle guns, others would include the hw100 though it would be more expensive. most of todays guns are all accurate enough.did the sight land ok mate? gamebag
Air arms s200 series their a cheap but very good pcp will leave enough cash 2 get him a good scope or a cheap one & possibley a pump 2 charge it with.
Beardo
HW100 is my recommendation - i think Stealth Stalker took a shine to mine last night!
Daimler42
I would seriously consider the S200 from air arms - could get a brand new one, with silencer, decent scope, refill kit and pellets for that kind of money (haggle a bit). These rifles are accurate, light and tough - perfect starter guns. :look:
blackthorn
s 400 will out shoot the shooter and you will still get a descent scope, sadly knot the pump what about a good springer, get it tuned you can get a good scope, and a ******* good night at the pub
bruno22rf
Im with the S200 fans-brilliant bit of kit once you get over the looks-great value and if he buys a good used one he will probably get his money back when he sells it.One word of warning-make sure it has a silencer on it. SNAKEBITE
See what is available in your area and try as many as you can. You will be hard pushed to find a duff make/design now. Everyone seems to have upped their game.
jackinbox99
Get your mate to try a few down his local shop, then keep an eye out for a 2nd hand one. Thats what i did. My choice was between the air arms s400/s410 or the HW100. I found the HW100 a bit too heavy and big, so the s400/s410 was the one for me. My local shop had the s410 in for about 500quid, plus 40 for the silencer, then 50 for a scope..... but i kept my eye out 2nd hand and got one for 400 all in for the whole lot. Im well pleased with it, ive had a few good kills with rabbits so far, and in my garden i can easly get 10shots all on a 1p at 35yards. Clubshot
As strongly recomend - before Buying a Air Gun New or returning Check out your local Air Gun Club And see what local Shooters are sung and Why Often you might find that a Member has a decent Gun on the for Sale Table As most Clubs allow Members to sell on unrequired Gun/ Outfits I get many shooters turning up with Gun's they have read or herd about But can not get on with Biggest problem is getting .22 when Lea Valley Ranges go out to 60 Metres BOB/R
