went for a drive out this evening to see my dad as he was fishing a evening match for a local club,

didn't have a great deal tonight only 1 bream of 1lb and a dozen or so roach though last week he won with 9lb not bad when you consider he was 84 back in April hope i am still drowning a few maggots at 84

Good for him.

My dad's was 70 this year and he took up fishing back up about four years ago.

He use to fish before I were born but never had the time or money after. I always think that the pensioners who get out and about are and keep an interest in life live longer and better life's.

 

Hope I make it to that age and still get out and about

really good to see a gentleman enjoying himself and doing what comes naturally

Good on him, I too will be chuffed to bits if I can still get a hook in a maggot at his age.

I'll be well chuffed to find me maggot at that age

nice to see your dad still getting out there

if your dad has the same eating habits as you im going to change my diet

sod this healthy eating its ginsters and toffee vodka for me from now on :yes:

lol he taught me well though no toffee vodka for him it was always a bottle of harvest brown,
