mikee
Any body used these, for geese not pigeons but i guess the principal is the same and they would add plenty of movement to your pattern mikee http://www.reelwings.com/store/ Edited November 23, 2008 by mikee
sitsinhedges
Ive never really understood exactly what you are buying with those. Is it just a spinning disc and if so what keeps it in the air?
malkiserow
The nice men who live in the brown box (top right of your screen) have some, in comes a kite flying champion .... you guessed it... they ask him to get them flying .... they report a total failure. seisobs
Bought 2 from another company, cost a fortune for what the are, used them twice, need a good steady wind, gusts are no good cause they just fall out of the sky. In my personal opinion they are rubbish!
activeviii
I have just been sent one, on the first chance i had to try it out it was not a problem to get it up and stay up. Guess its the kite maker in me that understood it. All kites need wind, that is clean with no lumps in it. if your behind a hedge then you have lumpy wind, same for tree's. you might feel the wind but it will be very turbulant. the wing needs to have a profile to give it lift, like an aeroplane wind. this is why the ones that have a S shape fly better. you need to get it into cleaner air and it will fly. the one time i did try mine the only thing that came in was a buzzard. even the crows shate themselves and disappeared. I'm going to give it a coat of black paint to see if the crow caome in, if not then i will paint it buzzard colours and see if that works. I would like a few more if there is any going begging please. Phil
Cranfield
This decoy was designed for use when shooting wildfowl on large open feeding fields (in the US and Canada), with the guns in "coffin" hides. The kite only works effectively well away from trees, hedges, or other obstructions. Its not something I would rush to put in my decoy bag.
