Whitebridges
These new shells look good. Latest Press releases below: Eley news
Axe
Sorry, but what is the point to this? Convenient carry bag that can be used for empty cases, I guess i'll throw out my cartridge bag then. Just don't put them down on the ground, you'll never find them. This bit made me chuckle.....Paul Naptin, Director of Marketing for Realtree® Europe added “Realtree® are delighted to be able to partner with such a well-established and respected company as Eley Hawk. Each company has contributed their expertise and experience, and the end result is outstandingâ€. Who me....cynical.....
Whitebridges
Personally, I think it's a good idea. The acid test will be how they perform. Knowing eley they'll be good, very good for the price. Yes Axe you are a cynic. Nothing wrong with a bit of marketing spin.
al4x
maybe a bit of a gimmick but they're cheap enough. Having used a few hawks at the weekend I can say that 12 out of 12 pheasants didn't like them very much
Axe
The cartridge itself is loaded in an olive green case, and is available in a 61/2 shot 30gm plastic or fibre wad load only. The product should retail for approximately £120 per 1000 for the plastic and £128 per 1000 for the fibre. The concept just made me chuckle

al4x
I might add the ones I used were red but were the same load. Only problem I can see is when you drop one in a patch of brambles or nettles finding them may be that bit more difficult
Dunkield
I suppose people who just leave there empties all over the countryside won't feel so bad. Can't see the point of the camo, but then there are mugs born every day so they should fly off the shelves!

ChrisNicholls
Has anybody tried these? I have been using the HB Pigeon of late and find them pretty good, but would prefer to use a lighter load, these would seem to fit the bill. Highlander
Think this post should be linked with the Pigeon Conspiracy one...both b***** daft!
Whitebridges
Half apologies for bumping this one. Are they in the shops? I had my first ever bad experience with Eley, just after I posted this thread. In a nutshell I opened a fresh 250 pack of HB pigeon 32g and in one box I had a mis-formed case with a bad crimp and loads of lose shot in the box. So I wrote to Eley, enclosed the case and the box (of25) which had a bar code and thus loading details, together with a letter explaining the problem. I was hoping they might contact me. I have heard nothing. I phoned them, it rang and rang. I e-mailed them - nothing. I have shot literally thousands of eley shells over the years. My father (now retired) has sold probably millions of the things. Ok it's no big deal, but no response at all? I'll shoot Hull's instead, simple. CharlieT
Only just noticed this thread. I did not realise there was a need to cover everything in camo whilst decoying. I am just about to rush off to my gunshop to buy a roll of camo tape to wrap round my **** so as not to frighten off the pigeon when I have a pee !!! Shows there is always something new to learn CT
