Typical CS maths - Private sector pay increases are currently averaging circa 4.5% as are public sector - even 8.5% is only just under X2 but even you should know that pensions run a 8 months behind and the average wage increase, which, in 2023 in September, when increase was calculated, was circa 9% and had been as high as 10%

there put it right for you Also a large part of government pension pay out goes goes not to state pension but to state employed groups. This will get Poo Pooed by some but check it out - some civil servant pensioner groups are getting a rise of 3x the average private sector pay increase. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/pensions/private-pensions/public-sector-pensioners-three-times-average-pay-rise/

I would add that it would require perfectly level ground.

So the train crash years that where Blair/Brown were Tory years? We still have not recovered from this because of the woke civil service they engendered. It took UKIP 20 years to get to this stage - the disaster of a labour gov for the real working man, even if it only lasts 5 years, will take 20 years to correct for the wealth creators.

Have a look at your Local Euronics Independent Electrical Specialist, often cheaper then Currys for the same stuff.

The decision we all have to make is "where to vote that does the least damage to my lifestyle" Reform sounds good but like ukip, until they have a local government base they are a wasted national gov vote which could let in either major party to your detriment depending on your views.

That's is a bit harsh on the politicos.

Nearer the mark.

Sadly the NHS is a bit like the civil service, from about half way up too many non-jobs for (in this case) the girls, most of which have no idea about business management.

IIRC the Civil Service one is the best - Now there's a surprise

Sadly when the "commies" in the unions get "power" it is highly likely to happen AGAIN.

Unless we get another "Broon" attack under the next "socialist" government.
