  1. I pike fished in Galway a few years ago & can vouch for both the sink & draw method and ledgered deadbait. Always worth asking the locals and tapping into the local knowledge too, they were very friendly and exceptionally helpful in telling us where the hotspots were to be found
  2. I use Legia spray and a boresnake on mine and get good results with it. But it helps that the bores are chromed and as a result do clean up very easily though.

    Wow

The storm missed us, but we saw the flashes of lightning way off in the distance. There are some pretty impressive pics of the lightning strikes on the BBC news website
  4. I'm not sure, but I guess it might be here >>> PX Farms
  5. I went to Prestwood two or three months ago and was quite impressed. Was well set out with plenty of stands and folks were very helpful & friendly.
  6. Nasty business indeed Dog probably belongs to that daft-as-a-brush journo Liz Jones? from the Mail on Sunday.

    1984..

Was in my second year of training working at the local district general hospital. Driving an old rusty 1973 Triumph Spitfire and generally burning the candle at both ends as well as in the middle :yp:
  8. They are still around, but perhaps not as common as they once were. Just got to look a little harder to find em. Went to a lovely village fete at South Stoke, in between Goring and Wallingford a couple of months back. The village road had been closed to traffic and stalls and games had been set up in the street. It had the lot; warm sunny weather, morris dancers, local brass band, a maypole & dancers and a beer tent to boot, it somehow just had a real feel of good old English tradition about it. It was quite simply just great.
  9. 5.2 litre mobilus Velorex triplo (like a quattro, but with three wheels instead of four) with superdupercharger. Lightweight canvas construction ensures rapid acceleration of 0-60 in 3.9 secs and top speed of 176mph although the steering gets a bit light over 155mph

    Bank

Hehehe... Wasn't like that when I used to play Monopoly, bank never took it back then - "Bank error in your favour, receive £20" Bankers eh?
  11. Even as a youngster, never did enjoy seeing animals at the circus. Prefer to see them in a more natural environment personally.
