  1. We should all just stay home in a plastic bubble so we are all safe and well!
  2. That's the issue I have mate, with a smallish target the dot covers the target totally when on full zoom.

    New tv help

I had my last one from John Lewis, great service and apparently their customer service if any issues is amazing. Pretty sure they'll also price match if you find it cheaper elsewhere.
  4. I just wanted to put some targets out to different ranges and see what the rifle was capable of (and me for that matter). It's not a dedicated target rifle. Debating just sticking with my Meopta 3-12.
  5. Only issue I've seen is some people say they're poor on light gathering Anyone had an issue with this?
  6. Assuming you have to pay the postage ?
  7. I bought this scope almost exactly a year ago from this very site, I will even link the original ad at the bottom of the page. The scope is in good condition and is faultless to look through. It is first focal plane so there ret gets bigger as you zoom in. It is first focal plane with the 4 C illuminated dot ret. When I received this scope I found some very small scratches on the front lens, these in no way show up when looking through the scope and wouldn't even be noticeable unless specifically looking for them! I used this to knock down the price somewhat. I want to change this scope as I am looking for a scope with adjustable turrets. The scope has been used in the field a handful of times and used to shoot some targets too. This is quite possibly the cheapest illuminated glass of it's quality you will find for the price. I am looking for £275 posted. Pics available at request https://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/346047-meopta-artemis-2100-3-12x50-ffp-rifle-scope/
  8. As I'm fiddling round with reloading etc I am contemplating changing the scope I have from a Meopta to something with adjustable turrets. Now I have recently seen a couple of Leupold Mk4's on another shooting forum, one which was sent back to the factory and has come back, and another which is described as "glass it's self is in mint condition there is the od wear and tear mark on the turrets nothing that effects the scope at all" Now I read that Leupold has a lifetime warranty that transfer's between each owner. If so would you assume these scopes are a safe buy? and if so / or not what to look out for? many thanks for any help Lloyd
  9. The same with many areas, until you do something wrong (or get caught doing it) it's very difficult to block them from accessing those things.
  10. Thanks Dekers, I'm currently tinkering with different powder weights, I'll see how they shoot before considering anything!
  11. Is that posted on the right thread? I'm unsure because you mention a dog and it wouldn't be the first time someone posted a reply to the wrong thread lol! If so, no real problem, just a bit of a project really. I'm considering trying to do it myself, but unsure what size pillars I need or how to measure them currently. Have a friend who says he would be able to make me some if I can get the length, hole size, groove width and pitching.
  12. You'd pull your arm away real fast
  13. What would someone expect to pay to have a rifle both pillar and glass bedded? Rifle is a CZ550 American in 243 with standard barrel
  14. Go into store and make a nice loud complaint in front of all the customers coming in. I wouldn't normally advocate this but sometimes people ask for it!
  15. Ah fair enough. I picked up an 11-87 premier for cheap enough with a 3" chamber and steel proof and I've really enjoyed it for pigeon shooting and a bit of wildfowling so far Best of luck to the OP! Post pics when you get your pump!!
  16. I'd have no problem walking into a RFD with my phone on the internet, showing them a gun similar to one they have for a cheaper price elsewhere and asking them to do me a deal. That's called business. I've had shops say to me "I can't beat that price" and I say fair enough no worries, and others offer me a deal that's not as cheap but is a fair deal so I buy off the local shop instead. As said it's not always about price. The same applies when you take a gun or item into your RFD to trade or sell asking for a price and they knock you down on what they'll give you, only for them to give it a little polish or service and stick it on the shelf to sell on hopefully at a profit (yes I know they may spend on it, store it and offer it with a warranty). I don't begrudge any RFD for this, it's just part of the game.
  17. This is why I use credit card more and more these days, the number of retailers extracting the is always on the up!
  18. Look at it this way mate, if I can hit a small one I can hit the big ones easy 😂😂
  19. Snap shot on my first ever bird. Soon as we saw they were small we said to call it a day rather than go and shoot anymore. Hopefully many more to come, just later in the season when they're twice the size
  20. I quite liked not having to take the scope on and off and having to check the zero after each time you do it. Anyone know where you can find out which one suits you best?
  21. I went into Keens Guns in Aberkenfig before asked for a box of bullet heads in 87gr for my 243, they spent about 20 mins telling me they're the wrong ones and you can't legally shoot deer with anything less than 100gr. They flat out refused to listen and told me I was wrong. I told them I think they're thinking of Scotland, where Red Deer have to be shoot with a minimum of 100ge bullets I think. Still refused to listen, even what I said about all the Muntjac that people can now legally shoot with a 22 centrefire. In the end I just told them to give me the bullets and quickly left. Now you can buy bullets online I don't ever need return.
  22. Surprised no one has said a Remington Wingmaster. Thought they were supposed to be great pumps?
  23. Well I've just been out tonight with my mate and his Nite Site 50 using it on his HW100 for rats, apart from the fact it was brilliant fun, what are the other nite sites like these days? I googled them (especially on this site) but the talk of them seems to be from years ago!! Now the NS50 was good but my mate told me the NS200 is much better and I thought I could use it on all my rifles (including and up to my 243)?! I tried to look them up online now but all I see is these my weird names for them, Viper, Ratta, Wolf, Eagle?!! Which one is bloody which? 😂
  24. Glad to hear it mate You don't go doing too much and rest up! Get better soon mate. Lloyd
