  1. Excuse my ignorance but Viszla's are pointer's ? Unless something was edited out lol Lovely looking dog mate, dont do too much as I was told if you do game too soon the dog wont bother with dummies best of luck, gorgeous dog
  2. You dishonest ******* Personally I would have given the £20 back. Bet the poor lad got in trouble for his till being down!!
  3. WWOOOAAHH!! its ok to give them a "twitch" as you say (Aka smack on the **** with a Willow) But not a small shock from an E-coller ??! Seems very contradictary to me
  4. Obviously. But it helps by saying things that could help rather than just downing the plan! Its not as If Im setting out to inflict pain and torture isit ? Just trying to train the dog the best I can
  5. Actually I already do, the breeder I had her off is a pro trainer and field trials labs. We go up to him about once a week except recently as dog is in heat. She is progressing but the biggest thing I can say is she is SELECTIVELY DEAF. She can hear me and knows exactly what I want her to do, but if something more interesting (Like another dog) is about she will just ignore me n run off to them. Again yesterday she ran along way off and went across a road to some dogs. Thank god there wasnt a car coming at that time!! I called several times for her to stop but once she had seen the dogs she was gone! 1 or 2 zap's in that situation n she would have returned to me before she got anywhere near the road
  6. Look If you want to just come here n not even add anything constructive to my topic then dont bother posting. As already stated the E-coller can be a great aid if used correctly to help with training! Topic no longer needed, Conclusion, there a good training aid. Thats my opinion that I have formed from this. Thanks everyone!
  7. She seems to be calming down as time goes on lol! Still has her moments though I think the next year she will calm down n progress well with training (Hopefully)
  8. Heard a few stories of people getting jumped when approaching people in situations like this! If you know there defo Illegal then give the old bill a buzz n tell them your there n will meet them when they arrive From the sounds of the guys there they deserve to get in trouble with the ol bill cheeky swine!
  9. Yer well with my Lab she knows exactly what she's doing is wrong when she does it, but shes a lil ****** sometimes so she does it anyways and then runs away when I get near her because she knows she's been naughty. She ran over 500m before n ended up on a road. Quick zap from a remote trainer and she would have avoided the problem
  10. When I had probs with my bitch she was a bit younger than urs, (She 11 months now) But I stopped all training completely as she wudnt retrieve back to me. I sought help from the breeder I got her off. I still practiced walking on heal and sit n stay but no retrieving at all. Once it was sorted started training it again. Mine was a little slow sometimes when coming back if there was alot of scent about. I went round the corner of a bush down with the trainer as he advise and she came running in like lightning It looks to work well, Her mother, his dog comes flying back with retrieves Give it a go mate!! If not Id say stop and have a few weeks off entirely so he dont get bored. How much retrieving are you doing mate ?
  11. Sounds like you might have been doing too much retrieving mate , A good way I was shown to increase the speed coming back is to stand near a corner or a hedge or something and once you see the dog has found the dummy and spooted you, step out of fight. I did this and Skye comes flying in to me . This is what my trainer showed me and his dog is really fast on the retrieves Best of luck! If its from too much retrieving then Id leave it for a month or so and give the dog a rest, Is it a dog or bitch ?
  12. I feed mine Chudley's working crunch. If I need some treats just chuck a few of the biscuits in my pocket, she already loves em so no need to buy expensive treats when a few of what she has for dinner will do the job
  13. When I went on holiday to Cyprus on the bus to the Hotel I saw a guy walking through a field with a shotgun lol
  14. Thank god. Its too big atm can finally use it now
  15. Let me come paint you with some then It was about 2 hours ago now n still burnin like hell lol! It wont do me any harm right ? lol
  16. Anyone know how to get this nasty stuff off ? Moved a load of logs painted with it today. My boss told my mate for me n him to put on gloves but he failed to mention it to me n he didnt bother. Its on my arms n a bit on my neck. Ive washed n scrubbed 99% of it off but it still burns like a b***h
  17. What I did was make a wimper noise like a small puppy n go away a few feet from her n lie down like she had hurt me, she would run over n lick me as if trying to say sorry. Was hard not to laugh but she soon stopped n hasnt done it since rly worked really well for me
  18. Sod the Jeep mate, Glad ur ok All thats stuff can be replaced, Your ok thats the main thing
  19. How much and where is he located ?
  20. Na were all too tight fisted to pay money towards distributing something like this lol!
  21. Surprised no one has bitten this guys hand off at this amazing ad
  22. I wouldnt take her anywhere near a clay ground for her first introduction. First of all start by bangin metal plates together (the dog food ones are good) and things like that! The kids cap gun was a good way. Work your way upto a starter pistol far away until its up close. Then shotgun far away n working closer!
  23. My labs on Working Cruch, £10 for 15kg bag n she does ok, few peoples got there spaniels on it aswell and there all great workers
