This was just ruff, off the cuff sizes. hacksaw an inch slot in the dowel and put a mark 30mm down the strap i used a 6mm bar to bend the strap around. bend right around. pinch in tight with pliers. bend tag up to a 45degree and long end just a little bit. drill small holes right threw wood and metal glue and screw the two parts together. file the screw point flat. wrap with tape and its finished. underside with spring stick in place. topside i took a knife and chisel to the shell and opened up the letterbox hole in the front of the shell. you need to cut it square and the same width as the strapping. Taken earlier in the garden, not much wind but gives the idea name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> most of the stuff i had laying around so cost me next to nothing to make 20 of them. i when out yesterday to try them out and the movement was great. i took a quick video with the mobile whilst the shower pasted over. all the best Phil.
  3. Quick thought, whats the houses on the other side saying or doing. if you talk to them first you may find they are in he same boat as you and not sure what to do either, so a chat to them might put more strength to your case when you all phone the council on monday morning. i know it doesn't help you right now but you have put up with it this long so a little long and some nitealls for you would help.haha. dont do around there as you will be the target once they get there warnings for the barking. next thing you know you have your car resprayed and your winds opened up with a brick. next thing they are targeting your sport and saying you have threatened to shoot them and there dog, result being your guns and ticket have been taken and they have the last laugh. put up with it a little longer kidda, you have this long so 1 more day then dog warden. have a chat to the other neighbors for there thoughts easy for me to say i guess but i had it with a German Shepard for years, i was lied up for 8 weeks with a bust up back, i had to put up with it, i use to shout from my bed all the time. once i saw walking again i was out side and the dog started its stupid winning and bark, i shouted at the dog to shut up and at the owners to shut him up. they slammed the door shut. few weeks later i was told that they had being s\ying good bye to the dog as they where just taking him in to be put to sleep..........oh how small the 7foot bloke felt. best of luck and all the best Phil oh and dont worry about JRS as he is your neighbour judging by the comments made. just as well there's a block user feature on this forum so i dont have to read more of his ****.hehe.
  4. yes please. Ill mail you when i get home
  5. if you need to tighten the top line then get a 2 lengths of string and a couple tent pegs. put first pole in and then put string around top of pole and then out to a peg so you have a triangle, then ship the rest of net out and when you come to the last pole a stretch the bottom line out using my foot then push pole into ground. take the the other length of string and peg and do the same as you did on the first one. it should be nice and tight on top and bottom now and look a bit like the old style scouts tent. regards Phil.
  6. Oh thats not the the worse bit. i didnt know at the time, but i do now so i keep a way from the place as the kids keep asking why is the runny poos every where and toilet paper with it. well kids, i would say, it looks like their dogs got a bad belly so they wiped their bums for them. yer right, i since been told what happens in them woods and women dont go there either. dirty B#*&^%$£'s
  7. My cocker did it for a while, fox poo, run dog poo and the worse was i walked in a wood when i noticed the dog eating something, the was bog paper near what he was eating after this i sorted the problem with a rubber ball. kept a close eye on him and kept him close, he started to sniff a poo and was just about to tuck in when the ball made contact with his ribs. only took the one throw, never been a problem since. the vet use to like him wormed over 3 days as well because of the **** chomping but hes over it now so one days dose is good enough now. ATB Phil.
  8. go to your local model shop. they have all sizes in there rod rake. i paid £1.50 for a length and it was just enough for my home made flappers. i made 4 crows and 4 pigeons but the rods are 25mm shorter than the shop bought ones so you might need to buy two lengths for yours. i cut to length and then a small bit of heat shrink, folded it over then another bit over the top to seal that down. hope that helps you. All the best Phil.
  9. get a plant pot and cut the bottom off, tape the pot onto your lamp, jobs a good un. Phil.
  10. I put mine about 20 meters to the side of me as i want the birds looking at that and not at me in the hide, putting it to one side or out into the field more lets the birds concentrate on that moving and not me trying to move around. this time of year i just chuck the decks up in the air and were they land is where they will be. later on in the year i will only use about 10 shells and in a ruff U or tick or even a straight line if wind it side on. at the moment im using upto 40 shells.
  11. You can use the window motor out of a mk3 ford escort as well. just make sure you take the plate and the gear cog as well. you can use the cog to weld to so no messing with that. metal window lintel cut down worked for me. i have 3 differant ones here i made nd that all worked but there to heavy, because of this i went and bought a pinewood and used the arms off the old magnet to make bouncers. Phil.
  12. Dont go near the place at 5pm best tip of the day that. its a nightmare to drive around here when racing is on.
  13. beat you to it.hehe. we have the small contry fairs which i will put the pup into for the scurries but was looking farward to trying one of the bigger ones. oh well next time i guess. ATB Phil

  15. Don't know when this happened but i have only just seen it. Im gutted as it was the only one i was going to this year but it looks like its been cancelled. so where to go now from around the gloucester area as i cant drive far. All the best Phil.
  16. I have the 222 tikka and love it to bits, it suits me and what i wanted it for and the ammo i use is only a tenner for 2 rounds so 50p a click is not to bad. having said that, a friend asked me last week what he should go for, same that as your asking. well after thinking about it for a while and weighing a few things up, i said 223. more choice in ammo, more rifles on the market, both new and secondhand so there's always a good deal out there. true or not but when i was looking i was told the 222 is the better out the two for upto 200yrds but then after that the 223 takes over. If i didnt have a great deal on my tikka, i bought it before i put in for my ticket as a friend was selling up, then i would have put in for .223 ATB Phil.
  17. in to the dish washer after a few hundreds rounds on the hmr but a little more often on the 22rf as i find it a dirtier round than the hmr Phil
  18. I use one very much the same but mines from screwfix. no problem as all with the FEO. just dont put the over ride key with the gun safe key was all i was told. Phil
  19. One more little thing to think about is the pellet fallout. if you are shooting in the air then the pellets could fall upon a neighbouring property so you need to watch out for it. if your shooting on the deck then a quick chat with the neighbours wouldn't do harm. Phil
  20. yes it is steve. just about to see if theres a 75watt bulb for it to get a longer burn time as 45 minutes on a 75amp battery is not great.
