trying to find info on heat lamps. im trying to find out how close to combustible material i can put one. i want to put two in a kennel but i need to know how close so i can make the roof to suit. at the moment i only have 3 foot high but can change that but i cant change the walls. i have 5foot x 3foot in the kennel area. i have a dog and bitch so need to split the run and kennel area when shes in season so the kennel area will need to be cut down to 2.5 foot x 3 foot. and the run will be 2.5x7 only really want for drying the dogs off in winter and if i end up leaving them in there at night, not to sure on this bit yet. what one do i go for that doesnt cost the earth to run and will work in a wooden kennel in a small area. thanks for your help again people. kind regards Phil.

give the bloke the squeeze bottle. when dog barks at him he can squirt it. then if your quick you can catch him doing it on camera and report him for cruelty, ask the court for a restraining order on the bloke. job sorted.

Pigeon carts for a semi auto
activeviii replied to jimmyb79's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
My browning hunter gold will shoot anything from 2 3/4 up to the 3 1/2 I did get away with 67mm fiocchi but i had to keep the gun clean or i would end up with a cart half in and half out. i use prima 7.5 28gm 70mm in the baratta with no problems at all but then the urika 2 will handle 65mm carts anyway. a friend uses the primas in his datsun with no problems apart from dirty gun syndrome. £130 per 1000 fibre wads and i get no more runners with these than i do with the 6 30gm clear pigeons, if anything i get less. -

Mmmm....pickled pigeons  -
on the back of the console there is a couple of screw as well, in the rear passenger area. there is 6 in total holding it all in place, i think, hehe. long while since i did mine. if your replacing the cigar plugs then i would recommend upgrading the wiring as its very thin and gets very hot with a lightforce lamp plugged in. wire from battery and add an in line fuse. i have 3 points in mine. i put one in boot area as well. go to the pajero of shogun owners forum as there's loads of info on there. canine kennels are no more. they have stopped making the galv bar sections. i had the last two bits they had today. they told me there is to little money in the galvanized so they have folded that part but still making the GRP ones for police force. i am in the middle of building a 10x5. 7' run and 3' double box. the base cost me £70 but i mixed it myself by hand. timber so far is £200 but i need to buy ply, insulation and roofing. the bar section were £130 delivered all in i think it will cost me £500 but thats with all the lights, heaters and fixings (bolts, nails and cemfixes) I looked for 2 weeks but couldn't find what i wanted. i almost bought the CHAPPELL BAR from timberbuilddogkennels.co.uk but i had a quote and i ran a mile at the price. Speeding is speeding, if you speed then you will get caught at one stage of another. speed limits are there for a reason so please think about why there is a limit. its not there just for the police to put funds in there pocket, you might think it is a stupid speed limit on and open road but it will be like that for a very good reason, just ask the mother that has lost a loved one on that stretch of road. I lost my kid brother a few years ago when he was speeding and hit a brick wall, dead straight away, was doing an estimated 40mph in a 30 zone, caught the loose stuff in the middle of the road on a bend. hit head took the full impact as he didnt like seat belts. guess thats why we have rules on the road. for our safety and other road users, not to pee us off. i got flashed 3 time in a mile stretch of the M5 with road works, my fault i was 10MPH over limit so i was just waiting for the ticket to drop on the mat, that was a few years ago but i still have not heard anything. thinking i had got away with it the one day when i got pulled in in a 30 zone, copper told me i was doing 37mph and slapped me with a SP30. i took it on the chin for all the times i ha got away with it in the passed. I never speed anymore, cost to much to do it, what with fuel prices and camera's. besides i have to much to loose if i kill someone from speeding. Pay your money and move on.hehe. lesson learnt........................sometimes

why put the hotdogs in the sock. in a small area sit the dog next to you and give a tiny amount of hotdog to her, then throw sock/dummy/ball/anything then see if she will go get it for a food reward. you might have to play with differant food to find the key, mine is chicken. just be a little careful or your turn the retrieves in to bribery rather than play. my cocker wouldn't retrieve anything so i have to do it this way, one i got the retrieve for food i then started to do 1 retrieve for food and one for praise then 2 praise and one food, carried on doing this until i had the retrieve for praise and not food. i went to 3 differant trainers and none could sort it as the dog is very head strong, food has had a good result, not 100% yet but close. Phil.

guess what. i have been having the same problems. 21mths old and he doesn't like dummies now. he will pick them but just spits them waiting for the next one. pigeons he brings to hand but spits them into hand. the odd runner gets a second chance. this last few weeks he has been changing, slowing down a little and starting to think it seams. he has a ball on a rope that he loves so i have been teaching the hold command which he is getting there with. today is the first time, outdoors, with out treats, that i have had 3 retrieves where he has come to me and with a big sit hand signal he is sitting in front of me and holding the ball. small steps and i WILL get there with him. in hindsight, what i should have done was teach him that holding things is good and not take them out off his mouth to quick, lesson learnt for the next pup i guess. Phil.

i wasn't sure on the best location for a cabinet so where it says about cabinet location on the form i just put ' waiting for advice from FLO' when she came out she had a look and suggested the best place. i fitted the cabinet the next day and phoned her on her mobile. she came 20 minutes later and ok'ed it. 2 weeks later the ticket was on the mat.

resin and hardener that you paint onto the plasic pigeon and then use the chopped grey bits to coat like you did as a kid with glitter. you can either buy a kit for silly money of do a search for a post i did a while ago telling people how and where. Phil.

any pot with a lid and just drill 3mm holes in it. bit like a flour shaker but bigger holes. a box with gaffer tape in the corners and seams to collect the spare so you can put it back in the pot for the next one.
