  1. Zeroed at 50 meters. I worked out a drop chart one day at the range and then started playing with an app on my tablet until i got everything lined up. that's how i can give the details on drop out to what every distance.
  2. Had a large fallow buck jointed down for me as I couldn't even move the thing. Cost be 12 rabbits. That's the only time I have asked the butcher. Most of the time I can drop them down into major joint groups while they hang and then in winter I can finish them on the chopping table in the garden of just take them out the house in bits and finish on the kitchen work top. In all truth, most of the time I quick stop and Wacker them in the mincer for burgers or sausages now days. Only Christmas do I joined out a few roe and vac PAC for farmers. By a few it's normally 5 roe.
  3. 600 yards is 823.5" in my 16" cz, that's over 68 feet. Can I take that shot. Nope! Can't dial that far and I would need more than 40moa Rail on my current scope. I do shoot 200 meters, off sticks at a 6" target and can hit 100% of the time. All proven a number of times. I have and do head shot rabbits of sticks at 100 meters, alot of it is practice on the range with high numbers of ammo. One thing has changed now and I can't hit a barn door with the **** that Winchester are now churning out. New graphics on the box and its pants. The old light blue box with red x on it I was very comfortable with. Not this new poo. Back to eley now I think.
  4. Hope it's a 22 and not 177 as they split the case
  5. I was given a few boxes of the newly packaged Winchesters, went out Wednesday and out for 40 shots I hit 10 and even then rabbits are waste as not all head shot. I'll give them a way down the range and use the 500 older ones I have and know hit the mark every time. I will not be buying any more on e I run out and I'll then go back to the eley subs
  6. Dauntsey Guns. I have a couple hundred in the locker. I use on the rats and garden shooting.
  7. It's a .222, it will shoot just about anything, very well, upto 52grains and some will go a tad more to 55grain. I use to shoot 52amax and nothing argued with them. Then I started shooting innand around livestock so it was suggested to run light and fast so there was no worry with the exit. I ended with 40g sbk but I didn't run them too fast as i like to keep a barrles throat in fair order for as long as I can. The bullet didn't exit and the carcuss rattled a fair bit afterwards.
  8. My new 0 press moves a little, I think I texted the moment to you but can't remember now lol. Think it was .45mm
  9. I'm running them in the new T3 .223 as well now. Same powder, same bullet, same primer, same charge weight. Geuss what, it's one hole groups again. But so are 40vmax and 40 bltiz kings.
  10. They do wear out Melk. If it's a Lee the you can buy just the body. Cheap as chips in USA but not over here. Have a look on Titan reloading as you can use the postage estimator to see if it's cheaper to buy new
  11. I used the Lee loader for a long time. In .222 it shot cloverleaf groups time and time again. Even won a club comp with it on tightest group. All brass needs to be sized in one form or another. Wether it's full lenght or just neck sizing like the loader does. As long as your cases came from your rifle on their last firing you can get away with just using the Lee reloader but, if they have been elsewhere then you really do need to full length size. Have a look on YouTube if you have no one close enough to show you or at least watch over you. I bought a 223 from a lad that said he knew what he was doing and had been reloading for it. How he handing killed himself I will never know. I took all his reloads and pulled them. There was different podwres, different primers. No two weights were the same, even the odd different bullet. I had primers that he had tried to put into burden cases with some blown, some crushed and somenhe said wouldn't work and had the bullets, powder and firing pin dent. Took me a while to work out why the shel holder was sootie and blackened but tow and two together and I found the next candidate for Darwin award. I just hope he has not continued in his reloading quest as some that think they know what their doing prove otherwise
  12. Yes, no problem in my old Tikka T3. 21.5gr of benchmark worked with one hole groups. Seated 2.2" oal
  13. The eka is my main knife, optic warehouse CO UK have them on specail at the moment. Only down side is when you bleed out the carcuss you get alot of blood in the handle. Bit of a pain to keep clean and hygienic. Blade it a little to thick for muntie and some roe. I use the stainless Mora as a back up and it fits the anal track and pelvic on munts and roe nicly. All have a couple cheap orange £4 fixed blade knives that I use back at the ladder just for head, tails and knees as I don't like cliping home with the ekaswing blade due to how sharp I like them. Bone knackers it very quickly
  14. If your going to coleys then take a big wallet and check everything twice because you will not be able to get a refund without a battle. There are very few good gun shots in Gloucestershire now days.pleanty of good shops within an hour's drive, Dauntsey Guns being my favourite
  15. They, like others, call them bullet heads because it makes it easier for the I'll informed. Dauntsey Guns have the right idea and call them projectiles just to help others lmao
  16. Reply from GRS to just the same question i asked a couple weeks back There is always a potential of adding to precision when bedding any stock, but it was not our intention when making this particular stock. The receiver will sit tight in the stock resting on glued-in pillars - so I would recommend testing before spending any money on additional bedding. You could also play around with action screw torque to see if this affects precision at all. After all, guns tend to be a little individual and likes different things..
  17. they are just slots on your ticket. you can take out and use what you like and where you like as long as you have the permissions and clearances. I use to run .222, .243. 6.5x55 and 308. all with the one pez/mae moderator, i put it to Gloucester firearms licencing and they agreed. not a problem,
  18. To many other variables to worry about Malk. Neck tensions and wall thickness. You can have the best idea in the world but if your wall thickness isn't even then the bullet will not sit central. If the tensions are different in cases then some bullets will seat in easier that others. To many variables,
  19. Set the rwar one to the rear swivel. Feont one to front swivel. Same as the first post about one being shorter so your cheek doesn't get in the way.
  20. Clean the chamber. you may have a carbon ring in there that's holding the cartridge back all the brass looks fine from what i can see on the photos. clean the extractor hook and the all the pin, bolt. Only thing i can see strange is the dimple not centered on the primer when sort of says the case is sloppy in the bolt head and its not hooking up every time on the extractor claw. a measurement across bolt face and head or cartridge would confirm this

  22. This has been running one of my lathes with out missing a beat for a few years it's not been over worked as the mother its been running is only 0.5hp as you can see from the photo it was minimum draw. I can supply a socket for it so you can wire your motor, turn the convertor on and get your 3 phase motor running on domestic 220volt It is still a current model and power capacitors are UK and helpful if need be. It's heavy so I have no way to post. Collection only. I will let it go cheap on these forums for £150. I'll leave it a short while before putting it in the machine shop forums and then its in for £200 which is still cheap for this. All the best Phil
