  1. You find it in a bush?
  2. I've got one of them. Was well used when I bought it but it's still going strong. Never caused any problems, though the trigger could do with some tinkering on top barrel. I shoot really well with it too. He's pretty much handed you £300. Nice one!
  3. Oh no you have sold the limited edition go-faster one have you without realising have you...
  4. At least he'll get battered in prison.
  5. Yeh, just a dance. For £40 you'd expect the full package aye.
  6. Overpaid bunch of nancy boys the lot of em.
  7. Nice one. I have an HMR and love using it. I had only used shotguns and air rifles before hand, and when I got that thing and set a target out at 100 yards I couldn't believe I'd ever hit it. But it did! Still gives me that good feeling. With that amount of land you won't regret getting one.

Heard my first one the other day. Well nice. Even in the last few years I've noticed decrease in spotted flycatcher, linnet and yellowhammer. Hardly see any of those now Haven't seen a linnet in years.

Chard - I think there's a slight difference in secondary school and University. Secondary school he barely needs to turn up - and the teachers couldn't give a ****. He'll be doing his homework in lessons as the work in lesson can very often be pointless, and who wants to work at home. Everybody does it. The only time you'll see him working at home is when GCSE'a are looming, and anyone who isn't dense as **** can pass them with flying colours. University is a whole different ball game mate. If you're a real course that is, not film studies or some such tripe.

Just revision for me. The other week had a project to do which was near enough a whole module. Cracked it out in 5 days with lectures too Would have had 7 days but had to go home to go shooting
  11. Morons. Absolute morons. In actual fact I think they went down, especially the second one if it was indeed a headshot, just with your average twitching. Crows and corvids in general are my least favourite birds, but that's no need for letting them suffer. Somehow I don't think they're crows by choice and are just following natural instinct, like any other.
  12. To be fair just ignore the fact you've got it. Most single trigger guns have them but they're not worth the hassle. You'll not hit any more by fiddling around, and then if you miss you'll be blaming it. "I missed that because I had this barrel first blah blah". Best just to leave and shoot stuff.
  13. I got one but when it arrived it was far too big for my stock, as side by sides have more slender stocks. Fitted ok on my O/U which has a deeper and fatter stock. Now both guns feel the same, though I still shoot better with the o/u. Nicked one off wabbitbosher Cheers for that fits a treat. so they're different sizes - best to go to a shop and test a few.
  14. They're a fair bit louder without the mod on. Still loud with one but less so. Verging on wanting ear plugs without mod. I'd go CZ too. Think I paid slightly over the odds for mine (452 Varmint). Not sure as didn't spend ages looking like I normally do. Spent £310 SH with new Sirocco mod (after haggling too.)
  15. Yup my dad has those hanwags. Certainly very good - though he's only had a year or so not sure how they wear. He says they're nice n comfy. I've got the Meindl Borneo (or Burma maybe?) Pro and these are amazing. When I'm at home get used nearly every day and done many field trips in them walking all dya every day in them - still going strong. I use water-based beeswax every season or other season and use neatsfoot oil every year or so or when they start to go light brown after grass whipping. I steer clear of all this gore-tex nonsense. Had the option of gore-tex liner or calf leather. No contest! Water may also sit between the leather and the gore tex and completely **** your boots up too. Leather all over for me - can't beat it.
  16. More of a problem shooting over pastoral land where livestock eats wad. Can't see it damaging machinery unless you're using 4-bore steel slugs.
  17. If it's got an MOT but will need work for another one, then you're looking at about £1000. If the chassis (especially rear cross-member) or bulkhead it going rotten then £800 tops and more effort than it's worth. They'll all be rusty, but don't want a rotten one (which may be harder to spot than you think...) If it'll last a few years without any major work for the MOT then up to £2000. If it's had good maintenance done on it over the years and had a few new parts then up to £3000 (as in brilliant condition underneath - mostly new moving parts and all nicely painted/waxoyled and the bloke loves it). It's probably done about 150,000 miles? Check for play in diffs, wear of UJ's, leaks round gear and transfer box, stub axles and swivels. Also check king pins and wheel bearings, and general clunks and thumps in the drivetrain. It'll not cost too much to replace these, but it'll give you an idea of how much work the vehicle has done. At that age the engine may need a fair bit of work to get running well and last, or you'll find yourself having to change loads of stuff all at once - unless he's already kept on top of it. The prices would be higher for a C reg or higher.
  18. Only when the owner can't drive and thinks that maintenace is pumping the tyres up and looking at the dip stick
  19. It looks like a Van Sam. Get a Land-Rover.
  20. Couldn't find it in English but you get the idea... :good:
  21. HMR expands more and dissipate energy more - but I'd rather be shot with an HV .22 I think. Quite a heavy bullet.
  22. 20 makes you feel like a right old codger don't it. It's a downhill slope from there on!
  23. Ah ok. Might have been in Arundel then. Or Findon Valley??
