  1. Seriously dont do it and dont waste your money. Nicks has never shot straight (and he has shot my 595 ok). It seems to have a different POA every outing! He has the exact same spec, steer a wide berth!
  2. Ask Dunganick about the accuracy of the Howa!
  3. I've got the yale digital safe from Screwfix. It can fill up pretty quickly depending on how many calibres you have. Its been a good reliable safe and it only needs to be secured to the fabric of the building. There are all sorts of takes on this subject. I have heard of some people using no more nails
  4. My Tikka M595 was fantastic, especially on handloads. But then i have to buy it back right now! Cant wait to get my hands on it again though, awesome little shooter!
  5. Well the RSPB were beating up gamekeeper on Countryfile for protecting their "Sport" from (the controvertial subject of) birds of prey. Bless'em
  6. Would love to consider not moving but having qualified as a commercial pilot last year and not being able to get a job since has crippled us! I have a friend out there who is going to help us out so hence the move! And the guns have all been sold now also....Damn RFD rates!

  8. Hi, My Girlfriend and I are moving abroad to Egypt in just over three weeks time. Sadly it would not be in our Springers interest to take him with us as there is a large amount of baited food out there to poison the feral dogs and cats. He is 11 months old and hugely keen to learn (when he wants to at times, it seems!) He has been breed through the Breezeleaf Spaniel chain of dogs and has five generations of FTC behind him. Speaking the Chris Burns of Breezeleaf recently he suggested doing some extra work with me and Benson during the season to ready him for FT's also. We are looking to sell Benson for £450, He is chipped docked and dew clawed with all the correct documents. He is KC registered, vacinated until december and wormed until November. If you are interested, then please drop me an email at *************************
  9. I have been taking photos for sporting shooter this year! DIY Shoot Article only though
  10. You *******! Nice one though Brian. I wont be getting many of them in Egypt!
  11. I can assist with Dungcanick, but i dont have an open ticket. It never seems to be a problem to have the land added though. I also work on a game shoot just up the road from there so im usually in the area.
  12. My Tikka M595 has been really good! I have the synthetic stock and stainless barrel so it is on the heavy side. I bought it secondhand with a Schmidt 8x56 scope and a T4 mod. It doesnt make your ears bleed like Dunganick's Howa! I have recently put my first handloads throught it iand the grouping at 100 was within a true 1/4 inch! I know everyone says this but i have two people that can vouch for this. Needless to say im not changing the handload! Even with factory rounds the groupings were 1/2 to 3/4 inch!
  13. I alays wanted to create the White police male hetrosexual association! Apparently this ide was frowned upon!
  14. Having spent nearly five years on the job....Sorry in the job, i can say that on most occasions dogs are left in the vehicles but with the tailgates left wide open for proper ventilation. I understand there was a new kennel complex nearby but i doubt that the handler would have removed his brain on a chain and put it in there incase a call came in. It will be interesting to find out the full account.
  15. I cant make is because i will be traveling back from North Wales. Finally the other pic from the last night out!
  16. We went over them in first gear in my Freelander and it felt as though we were sitting on ejector seats! Photo to come when i can find my camera!
  17. OK, I have watched the clip back several times and still cant see the 1:07 shove. At that time the camera has panned to the police vehicles. I didnt think i had that bad eyesight, infact the optician confirmed that on Tuesday! Who or where am i looking at? Dont worry then Mungler, U'll be safe, you wont appear in one of my officer statements!
  18. As a slight aside from the main points being made: The "Shove" appears to be perfectly acceptable given the situation. The female concerned was fortunate thay she did not get a palm heel distraction as it is taught or she would have ended up on her backside. Having been in similar situations where the public try to intervien, 99 times out of 100 they do not get pushed back in the way we are trained for that very reason. It never looks good on film, but then attempting to restain someone on the ground until you can generate voluntary compliance so that you can handcuff them can look ugly too!
  19. If you look at sporting shooter you will see the DIY shoot article currently being run. That shoot is held in the west kent area. May be worth giving the magazine a ring?
  20. I know what you mean about the toy phesant, just had to bin ours because i kept finding bits of it all over the house! Yes i am and trying hard to get back into the job at the moment having left to become a pilot!
  21. I am coming to you guys for the benefit of your experience. As the new season looms only a few months away and with most of my current land being well populated with wheat i need your advice. I want to put together a comprehensive first aid kit for my springer to cover most reasonable field based injuries. I appreciate that alot of the time it is exactly that, a chance to buy time for your pup while you race them off to the vets. I have hunted high and low and cant get a decent idea of what i need from anywhere. In fact i haven't done a search on PW so i will probably live to regret that comment! I know some guys get some meds prescribed from their vets in anticipation, but none the less i would appreciate your comments.
  22. I pay £140 for 1000 21g carts. A few of us use them and find them a great little cartridge!
