  1. Im a mechanic
  2. Removing the hub is all well and good but its hard to line all back up when reassembling. I work in a garage we would charge 1.5 hours as its our expertise your paying for. I am not saying this is a difficult job but if you carnt remove the drum should you really be playing with your brakes. I am not getting at you buddy your not the 1st or last. If i remeber rightly the drums are hard on these same as focusus all fords tbh we use a slide hammer to get them off its the quickest way without knackering the drum. The rust lip as already mentioned is why its stuck solid. Have a look at the good garage scheme as already mentioned whe are members and you will get good quality work by all its members. You get what you pay for in the long run if the wheel falls of 30 miles down the line you have a case for the garage to repair the car free of charge.
  3. I read an artical in twist and go mag it was asking for any used mags to be sent out free to our boys in afganistan. If interested il get you the address better than bining them.

I have two permissions atm one on a dairy farm and another over 100 acres. I would be happy to share these. I am a mechanic and would be happy to help out on days off etc with anything mechanical or farm work. I can drive so anywhere upto an hour away is fine. Thanks all

  8. Me and a few others will be there only 20 mins from me
  9. I had a b2 that cost me £50 new with a 4x32 on it. If you strip it down polish the parts and put a new breech seal in they are ok guns. The fire around 7-8 lbs so nothing major. Good fun for cans and starting with but deffinatly not for hunting. You can fit a ox bsa lightning spring which will take it too 12lbs with a few coils lopped off but it will kick like a mule and you will hate it. Great for picking at a great price but deffo not a huting tool.
  10. I have seen a few landys with a secondary fuel tank fitted under the seat full of red and plumbed into the engine. They leave the standard tank in with a gallon of white and when it gets dipped it comes out clean simple.
  11. Good point there about driving licences. The whole licencing is a cock up it should all go the way of photocard with counter part that way if its raining like it is 70% of the year you licence doesnt get soaking wet and you have to pay for a new one. I obvisoly have permission but i shouldnt think that would be a problem. Il just ring the fao and have a word. Cheers all
  12. Dust caps/valve caps are a good one for close ish range
  13. Evening all I have had my FAC around 6 months now. When I applied for my FAC i wasnt interested in shotguns but now im hooked I want to start clay shooting. How easy would it be for me to gain one? Will the FAO have to come for a chat again? I could put in for a variation but that would mean I can only have a Fire Arms shot gun 3+ shot and i need a o/u really for the clays. Thanks for any help
  14. +1 for the gas bottle making one later on out of a 18kg one. Scrap tractor exhaust welder and just a good one.
  15. a standard cz trigger doesnt have a sear tube fitted so as long as the trigger hasnt been filled down in any way all that is required is a standard or the hardiest spring in the brooks kit that should solve you problems mine was set at 1.6 lbs whe I bought it thats like a hair trigger. The triggers are ok as standard they just get made dangerous by people who dont understand what they ar doing. If your stuck for a standardm 452 spring I have one you can have mate.
  16. your trigger should be set at 3.5lbs for a sporting rifle mate. My guess is lie stated above someone may have fitted a brooks kit with a sear tube thats to tight and a trigger spring which is too light. When I bought my rifle i did the drop test and it went off so as soon as I found this out i opened the trigger up removed the sear tube and fitted the heviest trigger spring now it pulls at 3.7 lbs and shoots amazing.
