Advice Advice ,non FAC FX Wildcat convert back to FAC
bruno22rf replied to nemo2965's topic in Airgunners
First of all I wouldn't touch a Wildcat with a barge pole, been there and never again. Ring your FEO first thing Monday and give them the serial number, they will tell you if the gun is registered as FAC or not. -
Yes, my thinking as well, I will ring him Monday.

Just placed a holding deposit on a gun advertised as a Nikko Shadow Indy but ,on closer inspection, I'm not sure it's an Indy. It's on a well known "trader" site for sale in Glasgow for £225 (not sure if I'm allowed to name the site?) but it doesn't appear to have the forend vents, the engraving looks different to the Indy pics I've seen and the chequering looks wrong? I'm beginning to think that it's a Shadow Trap.

Since late last Summer (2021) I've been hooked on this stuff and,to date, have bought 1500+ cans, I have tried just about every other cider commonly available but nothing seems to come close, anyone else find it irresistable?

OMG, That poor man's hands - that's his sex life in tatters.

If you have a power bank then electric socks are around £20, if your feet are cold then putting a thick layer of anything is not actually going to heat them up - heated socks will. Power banks are around £15.

You know absolutely nothing about what I do so your implications, again, are just pure spiteful conjecture. I answered your question perfectly but not with the answer that you wanted so you now resort to calling me a troll. Been on this forum for more years than I care to remember and made many friends, tutored a few in FAC and taken a few out shooting (I'm trying to sort out 5k acres for a disabled gun at this very moment) but none of this matters in your world where everthing you think you know is gospel. So fire away pal, I've got skin a whole lot thicker than you will ever dent, first person on this forum in 10 years I'm going to ignore so dont expect me to try and defend myself against any more of your petty venom. PS. still will not waste a penny on BASC.
-
Like you say - you do not kn if it has helped or not, so how much of members subs did the days shooting cost, you must know if it's your shoot?, and how many of those MP's go year after year and are shooting men in the first place? If any are then they are pretty much already guaranteed to be pro shooting? Or would they turn into an anti if they stopped getting their jollies? As for what I would propose, that's a totally irrelevant question as I'm not the one taking peoples money then blowing my trumpet about all the great work I do,
-
And how is this networking going? Are we seeing a reduction in red tape for licencing, are we seeing chief constables taken to court when they make up their own hoops for us to jump through? Are we seeing the proposed lead ban overturned?( That BASC supported) Shooting, in general, is in a far less stable condition than it was 25 years ago. Still, at least the old boys get a freebie at the members expense eh?

ParcelFarce are a complete shambles, anything you send that needs a more than 50% chace of A/arriving or B/not being pilfered you have to pay for insurance, special delivery etc whereas in the old days just first class post would have sufficed. When you add the fact that the majority of post you receive would have arrived quicker had it walked and now the strikes, I would imagine that RM are losing thousands of customers every day. If you post 2 letters to the same place, on the same day and one is sent first class, recorded, signed for and the other is sent normal second class, one will arrive faster han the other, this ,surely, means that they artificially delay some mail ? Last 2 items I had stolen I rang to report, got exactly the same response each time - "if it happens again let us know" !!!!!

If you look back over the last couple of years you will find many threads where Stu and I have locked horns, he is the last person I would make excuses for.
-
Take my word for it, Stu is a well experienced FAC user and is about as knowledgable as it gets on the subject, I think he may have posted without considering his exact meaning, most unlike him TBH.

The absurd and the ridiculous

Let the people speak, are members numbers up or down? -
TBH, Stu rarely makes mistakes, he was, no doubt, talking hypothetically.

Not if you're the Cow.

Been pellet testing my S510 xtra (FAC) for nearly a week now, tried JSB Exact, Exact Heavies, FX and H&N but none are particularly impressive, scanning this thread earlier and came to the 2 posts above then remembered that I have a half tin of AA Diablo Field tucked away somewhere, dug them out, 35 yards (still conditions) 10 shots, happy days.
-
TBH, looking at your reason for needing such a gun, I think that the Magpies will soon cotton on and stop coming after a very short while 🤔.
-
Consider how many shots you are likely to need in a day, if 40 is enough then look for an AA S410/510 but the later regged version, the "xtra" model has a power wheel on the side so you can go from around 9 ftlb up to 28 ish, there is a way of making the unregged version work better but that's another story. I paid £250 for the one below but I've had a Lane Reg fitted which was another£140 all in. You will need to experiment with pellets as well, FAC guns can be fickle when you are asking for 70 yard kill shots. The above is regarding AA guns, UltraStu will most likely be along shortly and he's a mine of info regarding FAC guns.

TBH, most Farmfoods own brand gunge is pretty poor. The Iceland stuff was ok.
-
What spices did you use, I've tried just about every combination in the past and nothing comes near.We ended up buying doner meat in Iceland in the end.
