  1. using normal airarms diablo field in my 40ft/lb airwolf. think they are around 16 grain. don't have a problem with the grouping and like the flat trajectory.
  2. i have .22lr for day and night setup, a valid reason. normally to get one for target you will need full membership of the rifle club, so i dont think you'll get one specifically for target until you have full club membership. you should be able to get one if you put in a variation to have a separate day and night setup though.
  3. normally worth getting a few different sorts of the type you are after (solid or expanding) and trying them in your gun at the ranges you intend to shoot. personally use different for each of my rimfires, but they are used for different things.
  4. have owned the exact one, long gone now though. never had any trouble with mine, i think pretty much any fabarm is a good gun, just dont have the beretta or browning name and therefore the resale value is not as good, which in turn means they can be a real bargain second hand. the guy who bought mine was over the moon with it, and his wife liked it so much he ended up buying another.
  5. I use a film of grease on the slides/bolt and the 2 rods that run through the bolt on mine. literally a dob on finger and wipe it on/off with my finger. it does get cleaned and relubed every time I use it though.
  6. bought one of the first batch imported. not had any problems with it, very nicely finished and really nice blueing to the barrel. would have preferred a 28" barrel, but there is no option on barrel length. try one before buying though, they're a very heavy gun. little to no recoil due to the guns weight and recoil absorbers. not sure with new importers, but when edgar bros were importing the warranty was not transferable if bought secondhand, which i think is poor, but this is not uncommon.
  7. its not the van size its the tax (ved) class that determines the speed limit. my 90 is lgv tax so the speed limit for that is 50 on a national speed limit single carriageway and 60 on dual carriageway/motorway.
  8. hi. the shoot is around the maresfield end of uckfield, so according to google around 6 miles
  9. Evening All syndicate in East Sussex, near Uckfield, has places for 2 safe guns for the coming season. this is a DIY shoot, walk 1 stand 1. members are expected to attend workparties to help improve the shoot and to help with feed rota when the time comes, so really need to be local to East Sussex. ground is around 200 acres, planning on putting down 400 birds this season I believe. shoot is normally 10 days, from mid October to end of January, normally shoot fortnightly but dates are to be confirmed for this coming season. well behaved dogs are welcomed, but must be steady around cattle as its a working farm. price for this season is £500 per gun, which includes syndicate BASC membership. any further information required drop us a pm, there's probably something I've forgotten.
  10. unless on a deact the folding stocks are not legal to be fitted and remain folding, they have to be pinned/welded to be compliant with sgc/fac rules of 24" barrel/40" o/a length. they look the mutts though, wouldn't part with mine.
  11. for me the 300tdi is very overpriced, the td5 is a much better motor. my advice would be to buy on condition for the price you want to spend though, if you don't know what you're looking at take someone that does. had my td5 a year now and no problems at all, wouldn't swap it for a 300
  12. the other thing to bear in mind is the amount of time she's been going shooting. couple of ladies I know have started on 20g but progressed to 12g after a bit of time as they've increased their strength/got a bit more experience. with my daughter it wasn't the recoil, it was the gun/barrel weight she struggled with. and that was shooting clays, not lugging it around all day rough shooting.
  13. depends a lot on her build and strength. I started my 16 year old daughter with a short barrelled 12 and 21g cartridges, but she found the gun in itself too heavy after a while. swapped to a 20 bore shooting 21g cartridges and she's much happier. keep your eye out for a secondhand 20 they don't have to be too expensive, I picked a 20 bore rizzini up for zoe that was £300 and in nice condition.
  14. only ever put 28g clay cartridges through my sx3 and A400 from new and not had an issue with them. I would just use your normal cartridges, unless you're using 21/24g clay cartridges normally.
  15. Mill Farm and Chalk Pits are sort of run as sister clubs, if you join one you also become a member of the other. if you shoot them regularly you get a good discount, chalk pits was £4 discount as a member on 50 birds. both you can just rock up and shoot as a guest. i'm not good on directions and as far as i know no website for them, but if you pm me your email address i'll try and mark a map up for you. Chalk Pits had 50 bird sporting and DTL on last time w went Mill Farm has 50/70 bird sporting, Skeet & Compact. Mill Farm is on this weekend, and they shoot alternate sundays with Chalk Pits.
  16. shot mill farm quite a few times, always enjoyable. we tried chalk pits last weekend as our regular shoot was waterlogged. first time there and was pretty good, all 5 stands sim pairs. if you haven't already give normanhurst a go, its on the same sunday as mill farm. last time we shot there they had sporting and dtl on. alternate sundays to mill farm/normanhurst there is a shoot at horam, stumbletts gun club, friendly bunch and good food.
  17. have been a few times, as said sporting is a bit pants, but the compacts and skeet are good. you have to watch the weather there, its a bit open to the elements. have always found the staff very nice though, and going with a few mates we've always been treated well and had a nice day.

    S200

daughter has one thats used mainly for lsr. personally would spend the extra and buy an s410. the s200 used to be a bit of a bargain but prices have risen, and by the time you've bought the multi shot you're pretty much into s410 money, and in my opinion the s410 is a nicer gun, the multi shot works better, and they have a pressure gauge which is usefull. single shot for plinking you can't go wrong with the s200 though, although a bsa ultra may be a better bet depending on your ladies build, much more compact rifle.
  19. out of the 2 i'd go for the lanber. there's lots out there in internet land about double discharges on the bettinsoli's, which i always take with a pinch of salt, but one of the guys at our club bought one new and that did the double discharge, went back to importers, came back with stiff triggers and now he's having trouble with it not firing the second barrel, so its going back again. as far as i'm aware lanber no longer exist. personally would go for a secondhand beretta, miroku, or browning depending on which fits you better and your budget.
  20. picked a bioto double trigger up a couple of months ago, pretty good condition, and nice tight fitting. it was £95 from a trader, so theyre not worth a lot.
  21. ugb25 prices seem to be rising gradually, mines spends most of its time in the cabinet these days though. funny thing is i have one, one of my regular shooting mates has one, the clay club owner has one, and another of the members has 2, sporter and trap version. so down this way they're not rare. dont see many of the proper sporter versions about though.
  22. if its single barrel my lee enfield and myself would be interested.
  23. hi. looking for the above, ideally cased with chokes etc. cheers mick.
  24. my mate bought his sv10 new, had trigger problems out the box, then ejector problems, back to GMK, and again with the ejector problems, and again around 6 months ago. ejector timing seemed to be the issue, but why it keeps going i have no idea, so it doesn't seem to be fixed by new ejectors. he's the same with the value, bought it brand new when they first came out, probably 2000 cartridges through it, the gun looks immaculate, and he was offered £1000 p/x against a new DT11 this week. as for the 692's, 3 guys that shoot at the club i go to have bought them, 2 have gone back for repairs, triggers and ejectors, the third is only a couple of weeks old so early days but is working at the moment. only a small sample, my mate might have been unlucky with his sv10, but it seems people dont like them or they would be closer to 682 money for p/x. personally wouldn't buy either, plenty of 682's at the club and i dont know of a single problem with any of them.
