OK so 'THEY' haven't gone away. Whos they? Are you referring to ALL paramilitary groups? I'd say the majority of firearms over here are ppw's. I'd imagine most people who have one would have done some serious bluffing to acquire it. Blowing their situation out of proportion to make it seem as if they were somebody special. It pi*ses me off to see these people ruining it for genuine shooters. If ppw's were limited to people who ACTUALLY needed them, our FAC's and renewals would come back a lot quicker I'm sure. It seems as if we are second class citizens over here. Fair enough I understand the effect the troubles have had, but why should we, as well as our sport, suffer because of some stupid legislation? As mentioned above, anyone wishing to get into the sport of shooting would most likely be immediately put off by the waiting times. Some people I know have had initial FAC's granted within 2 weeks, and variations in one week. All because they know somebody who knows somebody. The common shooter over here hasn't got a leg to stand on at the minute. I wonder will the devolution of policing and justice have any effect on this? If it ever happens

I'm giving serious consideration to quitting, but for me smoking is the lesser of two evils. I used to have a VERY short fuse, but when I started smoking I mellowed out quite considerably. My fear is that if I stop smoking my temper will come back. It's the only thing that keeps me smoking. I hate the smell/taste of cigs and the mental effects they have on you, but I really don't want to become angry again. What effects did quitting have on you all? Did it make you angry/grumpy? And if so, for how long after you quit?

My mate makes toasties that are somewhat, out of the ordinary. Example - Buttered bread with a packet of cheesey quavers smothered in chocolate mousse and hooped into the toasty machine for 5 mins. Strange.... Another one is going into Mc Donalds and ordering 2 double cheese burgers and a plain mcflurry, then dipping the burgers into the mcflurry. Not a wonder why he's a bit chubby lol

The only issue you may encounter is voiding the warranty. Some of these manufacturers cover their backs by stating that you have to get a qualified electrician to install the appliance. Personally though, I'd do it myself (I actually did do it myself not that long ago). No different from wiring a new socket

As the title states, I am wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with this gun? The Stoeger Uplander Supreme was the main candidate for quite a while, but unfortunately the price of having to get it imported as well as the reviews stating that the firing pins kept breaking put me off. My local RFD told me he was getting some of these (Yildiz) in shortly as he was impressed himself with the general build quality and looks. There is only one thing worrying me about this gun. The action is made of an alloy which I am a bit sceptical about. What are the disadvantages of this? The only advantage I'm aware of is that it's lighter. I like the fact that it is a SXS and it has a single trigger. I also like the pistol type grip on it. I could not use a straight stock due to wrist injuries, so this is one of the major factors in influencing my decision. Any information would be greatly appreciated guys. Cheers

Just four weeks back I caught a 6lb cod about 400 yards out from the shore in Ardglass. (Norn Iron) It went for a candlebar type lure on the bed. Only one I've caught so far this year, but I've about 30 or so mackerel under me belt

This has been a hot topic of debate over the past few weeks with myself and a few friends. Theres a good side to it though. We up here get the opportunity to purchase cheap second hand handguns but on the other hand I really feel for our southern counterparts. It seems that gun control just cant be strict enough down there.

I play this on PS3 all the time. The map is massive! If you really want to try it, you can go into split screen if you have another controller, then when player 2 dies you have the whole screen to yourself.

Well it's illegal in semi auto anyway it would be a straight pull version with the gas chamber welded or something to that effect. Would like to get my hands on one to check how comfortable it would be to hold though

As the title says I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Dragunov SVD. There are two versions from different countries (Russia and China) the chinese one obviously being cheaper, but rumour has it they have bettered the russian design internally??
