  2. you could have rang and told me like you said you would at 6.30,I put people off on your word of having it,no wonder you havnt bought one yet
  3. 2 excellent bullet choices for the 243 are 87gr Hornady boat tail hollow point 80gr Berger varmint both bullets will double up as a fox and deer bullet, both are section 5 expanding, both are very reasonably priced, both are hollow points
  4. no matter what you shoot you will get a runner from time to time, having only had 2 runners for such a short time I wouldnt worry too much about it just yet,the foxes could have winded you and ready to have it away on there toes, one will never know.just use them again then if the same result is found then change, personally throw anything at a fox from a 243 is going to kill it finally you cant compare a 223 against a 243 the bullets are totally different
  5. thats right you can only hold 160 so you cant buy 2 boxes at once,a bit stupid really as you would have thought these FEOs would know bullets come in packs of 100  I alway round the numbers up to 100 on my allowance makes thing simple. weather its assembled or not you can only hold whats on your ticket,my advice would be send you ticket back to have more added at least 200 to buy and 300 to hold
  6. here you go mate knock yourself out http://www.reloadersnest.com/query_bw.asp?CaliberID=18&BulletWeight=40

  8. couldnt agree more "fast and flat is wear its at"
  9. I dont know about "bouncing back off bone" Ive seen them defleck off bone and exit somewhere totaly different,a mate did this once shooting fallow hit the first one broad side on heart and lung shot the deer ran and the other beast which was stood behind and too the left fell over first when the bullet hit it in the neck after leaving the first beast body. two deer with 1 shot, first time Ive ever seen that.Ive seen bullet exit out the body in some very strange places back onto calibers for fox I can use my 7mm wsm for foxes,at the end of the day if you dont ask you will never know what they will allow you
  10. large wooden wendy house with upstairs, good condition wants a a bit of wood replacing on the front decking but otherwise, all sound and water tight £100 buyer to dismantle and take away, you will need a flat bed or a trailor

  12. if as you say your were a "serious comp shooter" you should know the benifits of consistant accuracy for everyone else this article explains why and how to bed a rifle http://www.6mmbr.com/pillarbedding.html I do have a tuitorial DVD on bedding by master rifle smith daryl holland if anyones needs to see step by step instructions on doing the job correctly
  13. have you pinched someone else photo you call that a group give it a clean you may be surprized. you diodnt say "what most people do" you said "wipe with an poily rag and the next shot will clean the bore" it wont and you know it,well I hope you do rim fire hasnt been mentioned the OP shoots a HMR and a 243 both which use a copper jacketed bullet which will need cleaning. fine cleaning when the group opens up,no problem with that BUT what happens in between those shots ?? the build up of carbon and copper also water which rots the barrel and pitts it its all there in the links I posted if you dont understand, its not a case of "know it all" as we can learn something everyday, its a case of doing what right with your equipment to keep it in good form as your shooting live animals so you have a duty to know where that bullet is going,or do you look at whats gone wrong with your gear when something is running away gut shot (sorry for this post I thought my other one hadnt gone up)
  14. you still here, has it taken you this long to hop on the back foot and see what a idiot you have made yourself look, Ive seen some back peddling in my time but your the best you actually said "Wipe over with a lightly oiled rag and the next round cleans the bore" and NOT "I posted what many people do with there 22's and centrefire rifles, if you don't like that - tough!" where do you get off man, also the nOP didnt mention a 22 rimmy its an HMR and a 243 both which shoot copper jacketed bullets which DO need cleaning unlike a rimmy thats fires lead bullets that dont need cleaning again showing the whole site that you aint got the first idea so you have made nothing "clear" just made yourself look even more foolish, come back to me when you nbhave something consructive to say or add to a post which is trying to help others
  15. dont worry about it mate what ever I say certain people will say Iam wrong, its there childish mentality, its shame these trolls cant bring anything remotley constructive to the table to try to help those that needs it
  16. amazing not one mention from the experts of "wipe over with an oily rag and the next bullet fired will clean the bore" http://www.gunnersden.com/index.htm.rifle-bore-cleaning.html http://www.bordenrifles.com/Barrel_cleaning_edited.pdf http://www.chuckhawks.com/gun_cleaning.htm http://www.potfire.com.au/info/reno3.htm http://custompistols.com/bengtson/articles/bblcare.htm Iam bored now with this as my point is prooven
  17. amazing that as boith my custom rifle sport match stainless barrels
  18. the biggest problem with a gun that wont shoot or has gone off is fouling down the barrel,as long as you aint put hundreds of shots through it you should be able to clean it easy enough, just one point stop away from these new fangled water based cleaners there not worth a toss, get something that blows your head of when you sniff it
  19. my take on this for what is worth having owned and re loaded all 3 calibers you list I would personally use Vit 140,Varget is a good powder for the 22.250 and 308 but I personally have had problems with varget plus a couple of others mates in our 243 had the same problem of a heavy build up of carbon I also find the Vit powders work out cheaper and are cleaner burning
  20. the HMR a quick pull through every 50 odd shots the 243 a prope de carbon and copper removal every 20 odd shots, the 243 will suffer accuracy problems if you dont clean it right
  21. I may be able to offer you muntjac and fallow on your way up North
