  1. Well done mate, thats looks a very high tree what sort/length of lofting poles are they? They (the decoys in the tree) really look well in the photo.

I have just been out in the back garden and emptied the ice out of the bird bath and filled it with fresh water and put seed out in the feeder in the front garden and put seed on an old table out the back garden. They need help in this weather. :unsure: edited to say good video and commentary well done.

  6. Just noticed that in my emails, we had already agreed earlier in the week not to shoot ducks tomorrow on our shoot.
  7. If anyone who has never been beating for pheasant before and would like to try it then I could offer such a morning. Firstly let me say it is a small syndicate shoot and you will not get paid and you will have to bring your own sandwiches and flask. You will need wellies and warm clothing and a stick. Oh and a good nights sleep beforehand. That said if you want to experience a good laugh before you apply for your first paid beating job you will learn something. You will have to be prepared meet me at DFS car park at Darley Dale Matlock next Saturday at between 8.00am and 8.15am at the latest, we finish at about 1.30pm. Please pm me a landline number and I will ring you, that is if anyone is interested. I am not trying to exploite anyone but I just thought I would ask. edited time change as we are not now shooting ducks in the morming so not 7 now 8am.
  8. I have never shot one or eaten one but I am surprised that you didn't like it most folk who have shot them rave about them. Same as I say I cant comment as I have never had one. Good shooting anyway

  15. Butter and a traditional butter dish (when I can spread it on my bread without ripping it!)
  16. I think I agree with the insulation solution, cavity wall and loads of loft inulation and check the draughts around the windows and doors. (edited to say insulation as inulation is a special thing you can only get in Chesterfield )
