Hopefully someone can diagnose a problem for me. Ive got the above van and the clutch pedal has got a bit more friction than usual, the engine has started making a loud wineing noise and when i pull away the van judders. Im presuming the clutch is ready to give up but im not a mechanic. Can anyone diagnose this for me? Many thanks in advance for all useful posts!

I see what your saying but when I was taught to drive, I was told if someone behind was driving dangerously, eg too close or swerving over the road, to touch my brakes a couple of times to make them concentrate on the traffic ahead. I know stubby slammed his brakes on but I wud have done the same, if it meant she dropped her phone and concentrated on her driving rather than txting for the rest of the journey, job done.

You did exactly what I would have done stubby. I do a lot of motorway driving and people who sit in the middle lane make me so angry!! I think 9/10 times it's because people don't understand how to drive on a motorway. Either they were never taught or are ignorant to the highway code. Both of which, a driving instructor has no excuse! And to be txting aswell, i'd have been tempted to ring 'RED' to report her stupidity!! Cosd- How can she be driving carefully if she's txting? Driving carefully means driving with care and how can you be taking care if all your attention is being payed to txting?

Moles/Cats I struggle to tell the difference, both pests!!

Sounds like a right laugh! Heard some shouting outside in the close this afternoon so went to the living room window to see 4 lads with fire extinguishers having a water fight. They must have been freezing but looked like a lot of fun!

I find the quickest way to de-ice my van is to start the engine and rev it hard to get it up to temperature then put the blowers on full, after about twenty minutes the windscreen is crystal clear! Give it a go 2moz and let him decide which method he'd prefer you to use. Gota let lazy low life's have there say I guess, you never know when you'll have to rely on them if you ever run out of special brew or a pack of B&H

A very very sad day indeed for friends and family of both men involved. Me and wrightchopper have been out to have a walk around our new permission today and on the way back drove past the scene as the search was going on. A very upsetting sight. My thoughts are with the families!

Im after a cheap (under £1000) 4x4 as me and my mate have got loads of new permission but some of which can only be reached by 4x4. Not too fussy, must just have an MOT though. What have other people got? Am I gona struggle with this budget? :look:

Maybe a little bit far out for you but been into Gilders in Kettering today, they have two. Might be worth giving them a call, their prices are very competitive and they may email you some photo's first. Hope this helps
