  1. that bull pump has a side lever, about time DS saw the light haha .apart from the pistol grip it looks ok,the picture I've seen I like the colour of the stock, but I would not part with £2k for an air rifle
  2. Franchi Raptor,top gun for the money,look good,smooth to shoot,cheap to buy
  3. I took my HW100 out for a spin today,it must be an equal to Daystates for accuracy, not as pretty, but they are superb to shoot with
  4. never shot a Daystate,I can't get on with the grip on their thumbhole.the swell is where my thumb muscle is otherwise I would have bought one i expect but not to replace my 100,the HW 100 is supebly accurate, and when lying prone is easier to load with the side loading arm over the bolt I tried ,but it's all personal.I have an 'S' with an A&M cylinder so that helps with the weight.
  5. my mate is looking for one,he has a B-525 sporter,28" I think,is that of interest to you?
  6. 2 X extended .20 (half chokes) £30 each 1X flush teague.20 (half) choke £20 for barrell size 18.7 plus postage
  7. God that brings back some memories,I used to race there in '94-95 on a kawa KR1-S 250 then an open class Yam TZ250-B,happy days,I think i used to get round on the KR1-S in 45 seconds and about 43.5 on the Yam.
  8. I weigh 87 kg and would like to get to my old weight of 80kg (about 5 years ago),i joined a gym 4 months ago and go twice a week, doing dry January and watching how much junk food I eat.if I can drop 4kg I'd be happy
  9. my son and Daughter are 7 years apart and 3 days apart on their birth dates, my mum in law died on the 29 december,2 years later so did my son, that was weird
  10. I have 2 X .20 (half) flush 12ga Perazzi teague chokes for barrell 18.7 and 2x .20 extended, they stick out about 1/4 inch teague for barrell 18.7 Ideally I'd like to swap a pair for same bore size for a skeet and 1/4 or if you have some to sell i'd be interested, cheers.
  11. as for me, 2 years ago my son,Max lost his 3 year fight with bone cancer on the 29/12,that's what the numbers on my signiture are, years, days, hours and minutes,i was the first and last to hold him, nursed him at the house, all I think about to be honest,2 years previous to the day my wife lost her mum,at the same house, buried on the same day in Janurary.have a beautiful daughter,I focus on her, gets me through
  12. that's why i did this thread, sometimes people need to say something, and are sad 'cos they feel alone, but aren't really, you can't hyjack a thread where everyone wishes you and yours well.I know where you have been,I'm there too
  13. i was wondering how christmas fairs for you,are you happy or does it make you sad??
  14. Don't wear camo,or look like you've just stepped off a building site, apart from that comfortable smart wear that doesn't snag etc.Guns are dangerous and to me, looking like you take the sport seriously is important, you don't walk onto a golf course looking like you just shovelled 4 tonnes of carp, even if you do play off 5. I shoot at everything from a straw bale shoot to "proper clay grounds" I like to feel that I blend in and look responsible,i'm not a snob but people are more likely to chat and offer advice if you look more in keeping with the sport,Jeans and T-shirts are fine but a skeet vest is good, you don't want to stand in the cage digging carts out of your trouser pocket. I have Camo, and use it in the field, but I don't wear it at the clay grounds.
  15. I got my MX8 from Potter's,Duncan (I think) is a nice man to deal with, very patient, spent about 3 hours finding the correct stock from their stores to give me what I needed for my gun,i've just stripped the stock and re finished it,looks a lot better now.
  16. drill a hole, stick 4 matchsticks in and screw a wood screw in

i have a franchi AL48,recycles everything, stock not pretty,(i raised the comb on it) but recycles 24 grms and has a variable twist choke, and I had the barrel reblacked ,£135 inc rfd, action good, great on the pigeons etc etc etc
  18. layers.....tecnical wear underneath
  19. I bought a "trade secret" finishing kit,it's got the red stain and 2 oils, results have been very good,£20ish from Amazon
  20. aFTER READING THE INFO HERE,I DECIDED ON A tRADE sECRETS FINISH KIT,I have to say the result is beautiful,so far, luckily the wood has a superb figure and I can't be happier
  21. out of interest is that with the gun at 12f/lb,As HW aren't s'pose to be good above 12f/lb?
  22. i had one in .177,low shot cound, quite accurate, lousy trigger and kept leaking/guage failed.sold it and luckily had a superb HW100, can't fault the thing,2 years now, several tins ,deadly accurate and lighter with the A&M conversion
