  1. Reminded me slightly of this. Not eighties again but with that feel. Oh sorry, yes it is the eighties on this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orIy18qIaCU
  2. A mere reference to the syle of the music. I was actually thinking in the back of my head how I would like to hear this on my hi-fi (valve system) I still think I could see an adams apple though.
  3. I'm sure I can see an adams apple in this one. How eighties is this.
  4. I can reassure you on the big cat front as I have seen a lynx. Not to far from where I live, spexhall to be exact, It ran out in the road in front of me and dissapeared into a field of rape. It was so close to me and there was no mistaking what it was. I even appeared on radio suffolk regarding the sighting. But as for this photo, commercial phoney.
  5. I have a wrangler TJ, 4.0l petrol and love it. In fact it's my second after the first had a meeting with some Lord's estate wall. I can take the roof off, doors off and lower the windscreen. The rear seats take about a minute and a half to remove, turning it into a van or roof off, pickup. Awesome off road. I could go on. Do't know much about the new ones though, are they as versatile. Have a look on the Wrangler forum. Here's the link. http://www.wranglerforum.com/ Great fun vehicles, but my wife does call it a toy.
  6. After spending a lot of time on boats, I would agree. My initial thought was that the photo was taken from some high vantage point on the bank, till I read the report. The trouble with these photos is that you never have anything to relate size to.
  7. No, no misunderstanding. I have always had expanding ammunition on my FAC, but it was only when requesting the condition for the small species of deer that the other conditions appeared. hence the wording of my post. I do not see the correlation between controling small species of deer and the addition of for public protection and humane dispatch. Not that I am complaining, just raising a point.
  8. Harnser, we hail from Norfolk. Rum things go on round these parts. Sometimes nature just goes on the huh.
  9. Mine says the same but with the inclusion of "small species of deer" and thats on 22.250. My FEO granted the conditions on the basis that the farms I shoot on do have problems with Muntjac and CWD. I have permission to shoot the aforementioned species from my landowners. I also have the other conditions relating to humane dispatch and public protection although I don't know why as I didn't request them. On the request of the condition my Feo was suprised at the fact that these deer occur where I shoot, on the marshes of SE Norfolk, to coin an american phrase, "go figure".
  10. I make a rule never to date a lady you cant beat in an arm wrestle.
  11. Had to lend the wife my Wrangler tj Jeep today, never had the ****s so bad.
  12. Your not wrong there, I run a system with valves. I was running Roksan pre and power amps until a local dealer gave me a £300 valve amp and to be honest it blew my £1500 transistor amp set up away. It wasn't perfect, so then had the pleasure of auditioning several high end valve amps. I am now listening to Rogue Audio Tempest valve amp, Abbey Road interconnect, CEC TL1500z belt drive CD player, Audiotruth " The Forest" speaker wire into Castle Harlech floorstanders. Absolutely magical, if only I could get rid of this bloody tinnitus. For those of you who are into your HiFi, Google emporiumshed. Here's a link if thats allowed. Apologies if it's not, http://stores.ebay.co.uk/EMPORIUMHIFI
  13. If I had to make a choice, Bonham every time. Although listening to The Who, Live at Leeds album.....................Magic Bus, awesome stuff. But Zep for me everytime. I have all the zep albums but only the one Who album, as mentioned above. Never got into their studio stuff.
  14. I learnt to swim in the sea off lowestoft. That sore throat, nothing to worry about. Just the effects of the outflows from sizewell, excuse me while i cut the toenails from all three of me feet.
  15. There was a case of a red tail breeding with a wild buzzard in Wales. All had to be shot. Havnt tried looking on the net, so can't point you in the right direction. Probably not to wildly publicized any roads. I think the only bird i would feel comfortable flying without telemetry is the sparrowhawk. These revert to wild state very quickly and no harm to the ecology.
  16. Also red tails, if I remember correctly. The scary thing is, once hybridised, you end up with a buzzard that can hunt. The sad thing is that most of these non natural couplings ends up with all the birds in question being shot. Not so sure on the mandatory apprenticeship, as this could be applied to all animals kept, look at the problems bad dog owners cause. I do believe that it should be illegal to fly a hawk or falcon without telemetry, you are after all releasing a non indigenous species into the environment. Technically, that could be viewed as illegal. Falconry centres that offer three day courses, usually run by people that are of limited experience themselves, and then assure you that you are competent should also be monitered. Don't get me wrong, there are some very good centres run by very experienced people, but how would a newcomer differ between the two.
  17. I no longer shoot woodcock or snipe, both are marvellous birds and I prefer to see them, the same goes for English partridge and also the Hare. I was out on the crows last night and ended up photographing Comma Butterflies. Totally forgot the corvid population, till one passed angrily overhead. That reminded me of what I should be doing.
  18. Not for sale in my area either. So what areas are stocking them?

I breast mine. Leave the skin on, score the skin, trying not to cut the meat and season. Very hot butter in pan and seal both sides till brown (very quick) take off heat and reduce the heat to a simmer level and finish to the degree of rareness required. Lovely.
  21. Hi there, There is a butchers in Oulton Village that sells game. I can't recall it's name, but as you run into Oulton Broad from Yarmouth, you go past the Blue Boar pub and community centre, go straight on at the mini roundabout and it's on your left opposite Christian Salvesens. I hope this helps. Don't know if he buys Muntjac's though.
