i havent used the sa80 but have used the slr for 2 1/2 years it was all over the news about the sa80 faults as you say it may have been made better but i would still rather have the slr . i have had a .308 and now use. a .243 every one has their own opinion

the slr 7.62 was replaced because the army needed to spend money and what they got was a piece of **** fit for the bin ask the guys who had to use them
