Sometimes a carrier ,of certain things, should be used if its an exceptional animal. Average run of the mill types should not be used if carriers. Just my take on things. There are far too many straight litters being bred without resorting to carriers.

Eukanuba puppy. Never had a single problem with it over many years and many pups. We have tried most brands, given free to try, and nothing is as good. We now refuse free puppy food samples altogether.

The sires tests are immaterial because the dam is untested. There are far too many litters bred to even look at one that isn't tested.

You are correct, in a ideal world. Unfortunately it ain't a ideal world. The bitch in question has been tested at the height of competition and proved it's self time and time again. The bitch is superb. A bitch of that quality, even though a carrier, apparently, is better than 99% of bitches out there so yes I would have a pup off it. I have not bred a litter myself because I believe other people are breeding better stock than I could breed. In my opinion no one should breed if they can buy in better stock than they could breed. The heart ruling the head should never come into breeding working dogs. It does though and that's why there is so much rubbish around. The continental way of breeding a working dog is definitely the best way. Unfortunately it would go against the UK way of making money out of breeding anything to anything . Remember it should be a good dog to make money through studs where as ANY idiot can make money from a bitch.

Would I have a pup out of that particular FTCH bitch that is a carrier?, you bet your life I would. Would I have a pup out of a bitch from the local shoot that was a carrier?, not in a million years .

That's the difference though. A pup out of a superb bitch that is run by the most famous name in Labradors will sell before any other pups. Carrier , or not, the bitch is a FTCH and that top trumps any old bitch from the local shoot.

There are trainers and there are trainers. Get yourself and the dog to a good pro trainer and get the problem sorted. Pm me for my recommendation.

Well done for choosing the perfect dog for your needs, a Labrador will serve you well. Only a idiot would pay more for a certain colour pup and only a complete w****r would charge more for a certain colour. The more tests the parents have had the better. Good luck with choosing a pup and do not, under any circumstances, pay more for a colour.

So called experts are 10 a penny in the gundog world and about 50 a penny on gundog forums.

As the title says. Must be around 8 weeks old, from, preferably, trialling fully health tested parents. Colour is not a issue. Midlands /Yorkshire area preferred but willing to travel anywhere for the right dog. Thanks.

Any !!!!. It is a beautiful aircraft, the best engineering money can buy. Sit anywhere and enjoy the whole experience. I build a major component of that aircraft, if the buyer has specified our parts, but it is a fantastic thing.

The Cla have said 131,250 people visited the gamefair over the weekend. No way in the world were that many people there. It was like a ghost town Saturday and Sunday compared to ragley, Blenheim or Belvoir. By far the worst attended, and set out, Cla gamefair since my first in 1987.

The only bagged food I would feed is eukanuba puppy and Arden grange adult . I feed tripe and biscuit mainly. Skinners?, I would rather feed them the bag it came in !!
