Good shooting, but back ended 2 of em? chest/head shot are best!

By law the snare can not kill the fox, nor can it be set in a such a way that a fox can injure itself for example on a fence. The snare simply holds the fox ready for dispatch with a shotgun, they are cheap and easy to use. We have around 40 out at any given time on my estate and they work 24/7.

I need someone to come out lamping to drive/lamp as required. Its a 4000 acre estate in North Wales. I normally do a couple of nights a week and time out depends on whats about but there are always fresh foxes coming in from neighbouring shoots. Unfortunatly this is an unpaid job and I do not require a rifleman, some experience would be advantagous but not required as training will be given. I May be able to offer a few other days work on the estate so good experience will be gained. May also give a gun on keepers day if it all works out.

Its not the cartridges at 30yrds if hit right the fox would be dead with 32g 6's (not condoning this just saying) AAA do not pattern well i use 3" 3's for fox drives on my shoot but usually use 0's or 1's for going for a walk. Just be careful who is watching you when dispatching quarry especially with sticks, you can still be done for cruelty to animals.

not a good idea when trying to shoot within the law -

Shooting over combined wheat with the straw not collect yet.
worthy130 replied to Bleeh's topic in General Shooting Matters
If the birds are on it, get it shot. May be worth making your hide out of the straw so you can be where the birds are, just remember to put it all back to how you find it and pick up empties. -
Looking for up to 5 guns on the 24th October & 23rd January to make up a full team - £250 per gun for 80 bird day inc breakfast and late lunch

I don't think that they can be shot or 'necked' as they belong to somebody so they are covered by the law in the same way as cats and dogs. you will just have to put up a new fence to stop them.

They will let you know when they are ready to go. We have our ex layers on the whistle which makes life dead easy when it comes to feeding them out. One of our pens is getting fed out tomorrow, and then dog them back in after feeding. ATB

Quick query... are cuckoos on the general license?
worthy130 replied to WelshLamb's topic in Other Pest Control
As has already been stated, to shoot under the general licence you must have read and understood it.
