It is a sure pity that someone at the CPSA now hadn't been on one of those courses, I read in Clay Shooter that there is a letter from a disabled shooter who says that he cannot shoot registered shoots as he cannot get his wheelchair into the cages at his local ground as they are too small. He says that the CPSA cannot help him even though he is a member. Although I am not disabled I had a similar issue shooting a registered shoot at Caterham as the cage was not tall enough and had a bar across so I couldn't stand upright in the cage. Again the CPSA said they couldn't help. Just what is it that they can help with? If they cannot ensure that grounds comply to even the most basic of rules there isn't a lot of hope is there?

I have nothing but praise for my FEO, he is an old school shooting man and as long as you have the land or a good reason then there is no problem. I have increased all my ammo allowances to far more than I would ever hold or buy and never had any problems with him clearing land (when he had to) or getting my FAC opened up. I truly believe that 90% of the horror stories you hear are because someone is trying it on and trying to get something they don't really need or have a proper use for. You see it time and time again on here with people asking for a good reason to get a .XXX rifle etc. I believe that if you have to ask on here for a reason then you don't need the rifle.

Have a taste, If it tastes of Whiskas then it's a cat, if it tastes of Pedigree Chum then it is a dog. :look:

Jerry, All that is very commendable, but don't you think you are biting off more than you can chew taking on all the elite numpties who are the members of the cpsa? Have you got a very thick skin and can ignore the slating you will get at every angle from the Claysporters?

Oh dear, Oh dear, Where you an only child or just plain abused as a youngster, I was actually going to add that you cannot be a CPSA safety officer if you are not a member. However you still hold the qualification, unless of course the safety officers course is based around an attendence course and not a verified external qualification and if it is the former then you are better off without it as it isn't worth the paper it is written on.

It can't be BD either as there wasn't a single mention of "lead is denser than steel ****" anywhere. My guess is a disgruntled and banned member who has his own forum. How's it going Jazzie?

Well maybe friend was a touch strong, but you are little (compared to me most people are) and you are definetly orange. Was it you who starred in the Tango adverts a few years back?
-
I thought my little orange friend got that out of a bottle.

Oh yes why not? Or we could all put £20 in the hat and give it to the person with the initials MSC and turns up driving a red Land Rover Discovery (R reg) I don't suppose you will be that keen on anything other than a dead cert for your self.

It shows that they have clearly lost their way and are like headless chickens. Still I suppose it beats an advert for a second hand car.

OK fellas, As I am now back in the land of the living, and not working in Dagenham anymore I would like to propose this. We go to High Lodge and shoot some clays on the 29th December. I am not organising anything, I am not collecting any money etc etc. I will be there from about 10AM and if anyone else wants to come and join me they are more than welcome. If you want to stay up there for a Xmas lunch etc that is your choice and you can organise it for yourselves.

Because that would mean they would have to climb down off the ivory towers, and remove there heads from their ***** and ACTUALLY do the job they are paid for. At the moment they can just take their salaries each month, ignore the complaints and flak from the members (Something they are very good at) and do nothing. I notice Cat has not managed to answer why the CPSA do not enforce their own safety rules at their registered shoots, and why is it that some grounds can basically do what they like and others get slung out for daring to do something slightly different. When the guy (Who has a south african accent) phoned me earlier in the year to ask why I had not renewed my membership again I told him that is was because of the lack of support and shoots in Essex. His answer was "OK". When I then challenged him as to why there weren't any registered shoots in Essex his answer was there aren't any grounds capable of holding any. I told him about 3 acres, Copfurn, The Fennes, and various other clubs in a 20 mile radius from my house and he said he didn't even know half of them existed. How can a member of staff at the so called head organisation for clay pigeon shooting not know about these grounds? Are they really as stupid as they make out? Or is it that they really are not interested in anything outside of skeet and trap at Bisley. The CPSA in my opinion is finished for everyone except the few who want to be able to wave their willies at everyone else because they are a AA class shooter. THe constant knocking of the haybales is funny and I notice that noone has taken me up on shooting a straight at JJ's as it is so easy.

If it was bought for an airgun how can it be for a .17HMR? I know you can swap them about if you can get hold of one for an airgun like the SAK but they are not calibre specific. this one is being sold as a moderator for a .17HMR so therefore cannot be sold off ticket.
-
If it is calibre specific can you explain how it is "OFF TICKET"?
-
So WAS lakenheath wasn't it? The good old CPSA stuck there foot in again I assume? As for adhering to the rules and regs maybe you could explain why the last REGISTERED shoot I shot had cages that were too short and I could not stand upright under the bar across the top. The scorer couldn't care less as he was too busy textiing his mates.

Mung, Probably not a lot of help now but isn't there a Plumb Center on the Hutton Estate? Pop down there with all the bits in your hands and get one of the spotty oiks to sell you some new bits.
-
OK, I will ring tomorrow and see if the 29th is available.
-
Dave, If that would be prefered I will ring and ask what they have available. How about Wednesday 29th December?
-
Yes you get market value all the time, but you don't get what they can sell it for. I took the lead out of the bullet catcher as well and he told me that it wasn't worth him moving it about for the price, When I asked him how much it is to buy he said £1 a kilo. He would only offer me 40p. It is in my garage at the moment as Folkestone Engineering Supplies are going to turn it into shot for me.

The 11th is out Rob as they are booked up. However I would still get up early for a few pinks I am waiting for some of the moaners to suggest a date.

If that is what you need when you go clay shooting Harnser then yes I suppose you will need a pocket for them.
