  2. Looks like I've made a decent choice then Fox Shooter, I know it's not top of the range kit, but it will do for my CZ Mod-2 Rimmy just fine............ Couldn't refuse it at that price either...... Bazooka Joe

  8. Thanks for the reply AXE, took my Loopy of the .22, for my CZ550-243, & I'm looking for a replacement, but not wanting to spend a lot of money........... I'll have a look at the Nikko Sterling Nighteaters while I'm on, Cheers Bazooka Joe

  11. rob if you carnt see there shell decoys how can you shoot pigeons out to 80 yrds
  12. Like I say, any means. Wait till they have made their nests, then get up one morning real early, & have a walk round with the guage, & one by one obliterate. With any luck you'll catch both together. Catamong, I know what your saying, & I'm a member of the RSPB, also keep birds, but when you see them pulling nests to bits, killing the chicks etc, war is war, it doesn't happen on my shoot, not if I can help it................ I'm not saying wipe them out, but these days the Magpie population has exploded. Soon as you make a hole, it's filled, & before long they take over. Birds are pairing up early this year, so it looks like I'm going to have to get my finger out.............So much for the 1947 winter we were supposed to get?? Bazooka Joe
  13. Just had a ride around the shoot this morning, the maggies are pairing up already, time to get on top of them before they get a hold, to many of them. Personally I eliminate them on sight, plus the nests, any means possible........ Bazooka Joe.
  14. RossM, I've never being a big fan of the .22 for Fox, in the right hands, & range, it's OK, 50yds or so, but their again, a 3"mag with 1-7/8th oz No-1's in is just as effective at the same range. Bazooka Joe
  15. Mossy's right, you do not have to inform the police of every bit of land you have. First time FAC will have the land inspected, for obvious reason's, but once you have an open part, it's up to you to deem it suitable, not the Chief Constable. See link below....... Additional Conditions
  16. Just being through this with the FEO, & BASC, they said that both were not legal for Fox. Yes I know they both will, but apparently not legal. Anyone wanting/getting one for the Fox, I suggest you do your homework first. Bazooka Joe.
  17. Marlin, the police cannot make you take the DSC-1 as a condition for your cert. I have just being through all this, but it was the opposite way round, where as the local plod tried to make conditions on my cert. Needless to say, he was shot down in flames when phone the HQ & spoke to the head kiddie. After shooting for over 35yrs he wanted to restrict my cert to Fox only with the 243, & I had to gain experience in his eyes before Deer would be amended to the 243. Even after explaining that I had stalking under my belt years ago in Scotland, he was not having it. Get on the phone & ask to speak direct to the head of the dept, & voice your opinion, what have you to lose. Makes me think that if the law changes so the 22 centrefire can be used for Roe, what these plod will come up with next. Good post Gemini concerning BASC, they seem to want to take the easy route with the less hassle. Bazooka Joe
  18. Chewyjack, We went through the same crack a while ago, this came from BASC. Hope it's of help. Bazooka Joe.
  19. Down South, In the Target Club days I found the stringing to be the barrel heating up. Are these shot strings in a line following each other? Bazooka Joe.
  20. This is a quote from the above page, This is how twisted these ******** are, they were the one's that let them lose in the first place.......... Bazooka Joe.
