  1. As the title, looking for some extended Mobil chokes preferably Teague. Need a I/C as a minimum but what have you got? Thanks.
  2. Thinking of trying one of these again due to shoulder problems. Anyone have a minter they are looking to move on at a sensible price? Preferably not Kick off and 28" but could do 30" at a push. Let me know. Thanks.
  3. That's a beautiful DT11 and I'm sure it will serve you well. Just picking up on Hamsters post, I was recently looking for a new gun and tried several including a DT11 but finally decided on the Invictus Supersport fixed choke sporter....its beautifully balanced and shoots like a dream.
  4. As the others have said, if you want to really measure your performance and progress over a period of time, the best and probably only meaningful way is to join the CPSA and regularly enter registered shoots. Your scores will then be added to the national database and classified, which you can then monitor over a period of time. Good luck with what you decide to do.
  5. As the title really....my prescription has changed meaning I don't currently need prescription lenses for shooting, so I just some decent specs. Basic setup needed, frame and maybe a yellow or orange lens...open to suggestions. Thanks,
  6. To be honest I reckon there can be a 'bad' example or two knocking around in anything we buy nowadays, amd sometimes it may just be a case of a bit of bad luck. I love Berettas, the look, feel, brand etc...but having bought 3 brand new ones on the trot over the last 5 years and each one having to go back to GMK at least once to be put right its rather put me off them altogether. Many are very happy with theirs and that's great, but 3 guns on the bounce was too much of a coincidence for me personally and I moved on.
  7. My 32" Invictus has the adjustable hi-rib and I only shoot sporting. Its totally adjustable so you can make it shoot hi or low depending on your style or discipline, but I have mine set flat. I've used it for a year and I do like the slightly more upright head position it allows....I've played around with a few standard rib guns over the last year but when I shoot one now it feels 'cramped up' somehow. Another thing to mention is the service from the distributor Anglo Italian.....I'm just an average shooter, but when I bought mine I wanted some guidance on setting it up...I called Anglo and they invited me over, spent a good hour or so with me, helped set the gun up and even gave me a Guerini vest. Amazing customer service from which the big boys could learn a thing or two. I really fancy one of the new Invictus Super Sports....they've only just come out, fixed choke sporter with a tapered rib....I had a swing of Nick Hendricks a few weeks ago and it was lovely...... I'm not a fan boy, but believe in giving credit where it's due.
  8. Very happy with mine. Had an Invictus Impact for about 12 months now and really please with it. You will likely get all manner of replies to this, some who like them, some who don't....but since I took up shooting 7 years ago I've been through most brands and I've been really impressed with their balance of quality and value for money. My Invictus is a heavy gun, over 9lbs buts it's so smooth to shoot and hasn't missed a beat. I won't name names but I've had no end of bother with another 'top brand', across several different guns which has really put me off. Only my opinion of course...

    Chokes

Hi I'll take one each of the Invector Plus Extended in 3/8''s and Skeet please. Let me know how to settle up. Thanks.
  10. Hi all Might be in the market for some Inv Plus chokes....might sound strange, but I'm after either Teague extended Cyl and 3/8 or flush 1/4 and 3/8..... I'm a bit OCD so really looking for fairly mint examples I know it's a bit specific, but hey....if you don't ask....🙂 Thanks all.
  11. What shells do you use.....this may have a bearing on how clean they come up. Not wanting to open up a new debate, but the the bores on my Invuctus are like mirrors and I literally do no more than spray some Napier down them, leave for 10 minutes and push through with rolled up kitchen roll...haven't used a bronze brush in months. Glad you are happy with it, good choice.
  12. Well done, glad you're sorted. Had my Invictus Impact about a year now, still very happy with it.
  13. Depends on how you look at it....682 Gold E = older tech but some people feel the older Berettas are better made than the newer ones vs 692 = bang up to date tech wise, balance system etc but some feel the build quality isn't what it was... Having owned both (but neither now) I'd opt for the 692 for a variety of reasons...others may well say the opposite. Try both if you can and see what feels best to you and puts a smile on your face...but both will do the job.
  14. Went to see the North version on Sunday. Amazing. Anyone into 80's music will love it.
  15. I dont know the full history but as far as I know only the best/highest grade Brownings were made in Belgium while all the mainstream models are made in Japan at the Miroku factory alongside the Miroku branded guns. Browning was only ever a firearm designer with actual production being outsourced to existing firearms manufacturers.

I believe the magazine end plug does have Loctite on it from the factory so you will need a heat gun to take it off the first time. Tempted to do mine a few times, but never actually tried it.
  19. Ever seen him brush his teeth...squirts toothpaste into the air and catches it on the brush.
  20. Oakedge is one of the nicest grounds I shoot at, not always the most testing but very pretty in the grounds of Shugborough Hall. Hodnet is also excellent, but I don't think they do registered?
