  1. Exactly what spec were the doors and ironmongery, i'd be interested to know as your price still looks steep to say the least no matter which way I look at it. It should take a decent joiner less than an hour to get the door fitted, hinged and latched...I hope your customer wasn't an old lady Azzurri.
  2. Sorry mate I just can't see that, we're lucky to get away with £35 a door up here in Yorkshire....any more than £35 and you just don't get the job !!! Azzurri
  3. What type of doors were they ? Azzurri.
  4. Also Col. Patterson's book Man Eaters Of Tsavo is a fantastic read, forget the film, that's ****, the book is something else, he had some nerve !!!! Azzurri.
  5. If the gun is slapping you about its probably too long in the stock and/or too low in the comb also.... Azzurri.
  6. We use our local butcher for bones, chicken carcasses and meat trimmings. It works out about £2.50 a week for breakfasts and dinners You can also buy raw minces from pet food suppliers, chicken, lamb, tripe, beef and also chicken necks. We keep them in a freezer in the garage The Barf Diet is a high protein diet but you must give 40% fruit/veg/offal mix Its all in Dr Billinghurst's book. You can also google 'Natures Menu' If i was to feed my dog anything that was shot i'd want it to be 100% lead free as lead is toxic and damaging to teeth Road kill is definitely not on our menu, how do you know it hasn't been tampered with ? I'm not into snaring anything either...not my scene Azzurri.
  7. Our dog is fed on the barf diet, they should have long bones as part of the diet but also don't forget the vegetable side. We make veg and offal patties but also as a variation brown rice and mackerel in oil goes down really well once or twice a week. I'm very impressed with how our dog is doing, she's lean, well muscled and fit with clean teeth and glossy coat....I wouldn't want to go back to dried complete dog food. Out of interest why not snared ? Azzurri.
  8. I used to love game fairs, Weston Park years ago was great along with a few smaller fairs too. Really can't be bothered these days, final straw for me was when my little one was toddling and she came face to face with a lurcher pit bull cross, more muscles than Arnie in his prime...there's no need for it, why take a dog like that with scars on it's head etc round a fair... Another thing that ****** me right off is paying the entry when you just want to go to the clay shoot...they used to have a shooters car park and if you did want to have a walk round the fair you then paid to get in . Is just a sign of the times or are the best days of country fairs behind us....maybe i'm just getting old Azzurri.
  9. Your waiting is over It was a good shoot although quite tough in parts. I thought the ground did a good job for their first time, the targets were quite testing and a bit edgy at times but as you know you can break some very rangey targets with very little choke...i've seen it done B) For my money the last hoop on a couple of layouts was a bit tough which certainly showed in everyone's scores but i'm sure this mistake won't be made again I'll certainly return for another go as if northern grounds are going to put the effort in i'll support them for sure (well nearly all of them, bar one). There were a few northern stalwarts missing from this shoot who should've been there....perhaps they'll be at the next one to show their support Azzurri. ps The scores are on the cpsa site if you fancy a laugh
  10. +1 for Flux I've got my Disco with them on a limited mileage fire and theft policy. Azzurri
  11. Cheers for that...that's a job for tonight !!! Azzurri
  12. I was working on mine tonight and had to loosen a headlight to get the wing off, this involved removing the two screws in the top of the headlight which are only accessible with the bonnet open...how are the thieves getting the lights out, they must be causing some damage ? Azzurri
  13. Just 1oz loads these days, no boomers...better for it IMO too :-) Cheers Figgy, good night out tonight and thanks for the taxi...rapid door to door service !!! Good luck tomorrow :-) Azzurri
  14. Shame they didn't eat their M.P it would've saved us all a load of grief Azzurri.
  15. Sounds like you're on a different squad mate but you're on with some good lads there...you'll have a great time I'll see you for a cuppa about 8.30 or if you're near Sedgefield on saturday night there's a few of us staying up there if you fancy a pint Azzurri
  16. Just relax, no need to panic, shoot the targets and enjoy it Give Andy a call and see if there's room on my squad, i'm on at 9.00, you're more than welcome to join us but i'm not holding your hand Azzurri

    ACDC

A few years ago I had to replace my entire vinyl collection with cd's as it was mostly worn out. Great band and been a massive part of my life for over 35 years, really hope enough people have done this download. If anyone is interested check out Brian Johnson's book "Rockers & Rollers". I don't do much reading but if a book grabs me i'll read it front to back without putting it down...his book certainly grabbed me, fantastic insight into a real down to earth bloke !!!!! Azzurri
  18. Your eyes do tend to work better without a plastic lense, no matter what the colour is, stuck in front of them !!! "I prefer to ride a motor cycle without a crash helmet........I just happen to know what happens when things 'go wrong'. It's your choice.... Well yes you could also say that about quite a few things...if you don't have protection you could end up in the **** but in years gone by we the shooter DID have a choice. Before the wearing of protective eyewear became compulsary most 'competition clay shooters' carried a pair of dark glasses with them for shooting into direct sunlight and if you the shooter thought you were in danger of being hit by a shard of broken clay on a stand you used something they used to call 'common sense' to determine weather you wore your glasses or not..... I preferred to shoot without glasses then and guess what...I still do now on pool stands, open shoots and practice where I consider it safe to do so, but I do stick to the rules for cpsa registered shoots. Hope that's a bit simpler for you to understand !!! Azzurri
  19. Used to enjoy shooting there back in the day...are they planning on doing any 100 reg shoots ? Azzurri
  20. Exactly right, and also a good clay shot will make short work of any decoyed woodie I'd just say get out there and you'll soon pick it up, everyone has to learn but remember to respect your quarry as nobody likes to see pricked/wounded birds...as someone else said know and learn your limits Azzurri
  21. For my money you can't beat your own eyes....that's why I use clear Oakley lenses 99% of the time, the sun has to be a big problem before i'll use my one dark pair of Oakley lenses. I still prefer shooting without any glasses at all as i'm convinced even clear lenses aren't optically perfect but rules are rules and we are no longer able to think for ourselves are we Azzurri
  22. I used some of the Abt (Trap Cartridges) on clays a couple of years ago and in all honesty they were the best thing i've ever used....anyone who knows me will know I don't hype or b.s. they really were that good. The only reason I stopped using them was they had no C.I.P proof mark on the packaging. I don't know if this was an oversight or what on the manufacturers part but i'd prefer to use something that carried proof marks. Azzurri.
  23. It's impossible. I'd go with all of the above and also add Scott Gorham too I could never pick just one Azzurri.
  24. No, but i'm glad it's open again Used to love calling in there on the way home from a sunday registered somewhere, always good fun shooting the 50 esp hoping to win some cash or a bottle Azzurri.
