Most people seem to think that shot to pattern well needs to be perfectly spherical.Have you ever seen heavy shot ?. Winchester made a cartridge years ago called trap200 a premium trap cartridge.the shot was anything but round. Going back years ago Game bore sold shot from Russia it was all shapes and sizes Thinking it would be rubbish I patterns some it shot the tightest patterns I've ever seen with small shot.Dipper

I have had a 2ltr GTD golf and I love it . On a run it will do 60 mpg short trips over 50 .Has enough power for the average person..Its the smallest car I've ever had but plenty of room .When I Change it at this point it will be same again. Dipper.

You don't need a aiming device when patterning.The way it has always been done shoot at the pattern plate steady the gun stick or suchlike. Then eyeball the pattern with a bit of practice you can easily find the centre.Then draw your circle.Bottom line no two guns will pattern the same.Dipper.

He sent guns to America to a top barrel man .When thay came back he took them to a high bird shoot. Then he got Simon Ward to shoot them.Simon proceeded to kill 40 birds with 48 cartridges. All the birds between 50 55 yards.So if you have deep pockets find a good barrel regulated .Then of coarse you need to shoot like Simon Ward.Dipper.

Seems a bit confusing some of these cartridges are made with a blend of tungsten and iron mixed together to make the shot .Those I have are 60percent no 4 steel shot and 40 percent of no5 tungsten a duplex load Dipper.

I've never used steel shot cartridges only used t/m..A mate gave me his stock of non toxic about 50 all loose.Most of them were Bornaghi 36g steel 2 2 3/4".Also some Gamebore 32g Impact containing steel and tungsten metric . As enyone used them .Cant see the point in mixing steel with t/m .Going to use them in miruko mk 38 with open chokes screwed in. I was never very keen on useing steel.Dipper

I worked in the concrete industry for over 30 years.Wet concrete will really make a mess of your hands very quick. We were supplied with a pair of Marigold washing up gloves every day .If they got torn we could get another pair . My hands are soft like a babies bum.Dipper.
