I work at a uni got to wait till sept them i get the whole month off hope ive timed it right and the covers dying down

I just use a bit off fence wire tied round a bit of the hedge and clip the snare swivel onto that ,you can use a bit of wire as a snare tealer as well , a hand high off the ground and the snare noose a hand wide as well,

Its looking good ,theres loads of cover but as there cutting the fields for silage theres loads if rabbits showing ,plenty of birds seem to have got large broods off and the heavy rain doesn't seem to have done much damage to them .Just hope with the wet/close weather myxi dont rear its ugly head

Like i stated on my post i have to come in through someone elses msn account ,,,, if i try to log in on my own ip addreess ( ie AOL ) it tells me i'm logging in but name never comes up on the list and i am still a guest which means i can read topics but can't reply to them, Cheers for the reply NTTF

Since the board changed i havent been able to logg in under my name . I am only shown as a guest and cant reply or post . Ive sent numerous pms explaining that i have to logg in via msn can ANYBODY ?? fix this or am i banned ? A reply one way or the other would be nice So i dont have to use somebody elses system

How would you guys deal with a load of rabbits coming from land you dont have access to and eating all your farmers crops

I use snares regularly as well its the only way to control rabbits 24/7 in some situations ,but more and more folk seem to be taking heed of the bad press and want catch alive traps used .I used to snare in the summertime a lot for ferret grub but with the grass growing up to a inch a day you can have problems so i bought 40 kilos of mince for the ferrets and to see if i can cut down on the flys this summer . And if your not checking your snares at first light which can be 4 am just now , by the time you get the rabbits out the wires there all fly eggs underneath .The only good thing is if somebody lifts your snares there a lot cheaper than traps to replace

Aye thats what ive got a big ammo box with a paddlock on it all there worried about is its not stored near your guns

Just remember your only feeding the jill just now ,she makes the milk to feed the kitts so wait till there crawling about and nosing in the feed bowl them try them on a little bit of grub.Untill then your only feeding one ferret so she wont need a load of grub .Infact if its her first litter she wont be keen to leave the youngsters alone for the first week or so even to come out and eat.

Nope just watch she doesn't drag it into the nest box .Nothing like a bunch of maggots on rotten grub beside the young kitts

they should all be fine they just dont all feed at once

Leave her well alone ,then for the next couple of weeks give her plenty good grub but watch that she's eating it and not storing it in the bed compartment to go stale. you should know how she feels about your hand in the cage soon enough and if she's okay you can risk a look at the kitts if she's not happy leave them till they start coming out the bed compartment before touching them

Some ferrets like dogs dont show till there last week then them look like there going to burst . chill out and enjoy the peace as i reckon a litter of young ferrets eat as much as a small africain nation

Everybody should phone the R.S.P.C.A. branch at Ruislip Middlesex and say ive got a couple of cats which i let loose in my garden are they safe with your inspector on the beat and see what they say
