  1. Welcome mate, another one from Carlisle
  2. Sorry I only gave part of the answer, I run a static caravan park and have had experience of getting fac approved with a cabinet bolted to the chassis, some feo's rule it out instantly, the park owner normally has to give you written permission to have them stored on park. We allowed a customer to have a safe bolted into his shed outside his caravan as long as it was alarmed and the feo granted it!
  3. Yes it can be done if your feo is in agreement and the park owner gives you permission!
  4. Cheers mate wont waste the money, have used the new MTC Taipan 6-24 x56 ir and that's pretty good and not a bad price at £284, I bough my Tikka off the future father in law and he left his Zeiss Diavari 3-12 x 56 on it until his variation came back and his SAKO 85 arrived, lovely scope you could see the difference inn clarity but mainly better in the last 20 mins of light, don't know if it justifies the price difference though.
  5. what do you think of the Nighteater scope Tony, was thinking of putting one on my Tikka T3 .243?
  6. Ive just treat myself to a pair of Steiner pro ranger 8x42's and have to say i'm very impressed with them even in poor light conditions
  7. Stick to the 17gr, there is not enough expansion with the 20gr, I bought two boxes, they grouped superb but zipped through stuff causing runners where as the 17gr stuff knocks them down on the spot
  8. A pal I shoot with has the 6-24x56IR Taipan along with a zeiss diavari he has put the diavari on his .223 for foxing and put the MTC on his brand new Sako .243 and has no problems with it, not quite as clear as a zeiss obviously but at the money a cracking bit of kit and holds zero no problem on an un moderated .223 and moderated .243. I'm getting one to go on my Tikka t3 .243 i've been that impressed with it.
  9. What size are you looking for?
  10. If you have suitable written permission which demonstrates the need to have both calibres apply for them both, you don't need to buy them both straight away. I put in for .22lr, 17hmr & 22cf and got all three, 6 months later variation in to add on a .243 and got that as well.
  11. You have a pm mate, I'm sales manager on a holiday park if you need to pick my brains You have a pm mate, I'm Sales manager on a holiday park, feel freeto pick my brains
  12. Hi Sorry folks I've been only able to get on via phone the gun is sold subject to payment from a PW member, I thought you got an e mail alert telling you when someone had left messages aswell sorry again for not getting back to people quicker Regards Andy
  13. I've got one on the Fourtrak but I wasnt bothered about cutting a hole in the roof it'll be going to the scrapyard when I'm finished with it, However Someone on here put pics up last year of a Black freelander, they replaced the sunroof with chequer plate and used the lightforce handle, no damage to the origional sunroof and could be swapped back at any time....Ideal!
  14. I only got a visit on my initial fac, When I put in a variation for a .17hmr I after 3 months I didnt get a visit just done a variation for a .243 after having fac for 9 months and that just came in the post with no visit.
  15. Well done it pays to keep plugging away, I mail shot around 300 farms every couple of months normally only get one phone all out of it if I'm lucky
  16. I am in the get both camp as are many others, I have a CZ .22 and as previously said it is super quiet and very cheap to feed however I do regularly use my Sako Quad .17 Hmr as it is conditioned for fox, and can do much greater ranges than the .22 on rabbits especially when the silage has just been taken off and the farmers let me drive through all the fields its great for knocking the bunnies down at 150 yards off the wing mirror.
  17. Ive just done mine and like most was worried about. As long as you do the prep ie read the manual and go through the question bank you will be fine. Our instructor was extremely helpful and was there to help us pass not fail. The shooting test was the only bit I struggled on due to nerves, I had done plenty practice at the ranges needed but let the nerves get to me. Again our instructor was superb and helped me through and I passed. Most of all go and enjoy it!
  18. I'm with you on that one Red Beard, My Mrs always says why do I need yet another rifle or shotgun surely one of the 6 already in the cabinets will do, aswell as why do you need another camo jacket/another pair of boots/more decoys etc etc but I would prefer to be honest than sneaking stuff in the house.
  19. Yes mate it is after someone messed me around for over a week
  20. I cant think of a situation that I would ever do it
  21. Sorry just saw this message, have sent you a pm
