  1. Can you explain that a little more ? are you meaning to fill the void behind the plaster board ? If so, how do you get anything behind it ? I've also got 'dot & dabbed' drywalls and have been told I've got to fix into the concrete block work that the drywall is 'dot & dabbed' onto
  2. Well, after I posted above I thought I'd phone and enquire as to the progress of mine, I was asked if I'd had my home visit, to wit the answer is no because when the feo made an appointment I mentioned my subsequent seperate FAC application and he refused to visit saying he'd have to wait until he got the FAC paperwork and do it as a visit for both, like a co terminus application. I asked if they were now treating it as 2 seperate applications that were put in 2-3 weeks apart and paid for at the full price each, or a co terminus application, in which case shouldn't it should have been substantially cheaper ? The lady confirmed they were treating it as co terminus hence the reason for only wanting to do one visit. SO, I'm getting a £40 refund :good:
  3. I registered with both TPS and MPS when I started in business, I find the sort of people who market via the telephone are not the sort to abide by your choice to register with TPS/MPS Get a caller display phone, accept the call once and store the number in your directory, next time it rings, you can see who it is and choose to answer of not.
  4. Put Everything on the form, use a seperate sheet of paper if need be, you've got nothing to hide? but if they find summat you haven't put down......they could come to their own conclusions. There are certain offences for which a lifetime ban is the case, for others its something like a 5yr ban, it's all dependent on the offences and how long ago.
  5. As I understood it, you have to apply for each individual one (a slot) so, if you only applied for one thats what you got. On my recent application I've applied for 2 and 2 sound moderators, hopefully this would allow me to have for example a scoped .22lr and a night vision equipped .22lr or a vermin rifle and a target rifle or a bolt action and a semi etc etc.
  6. Damn thats UGLY don't like the big gap between barrel and underlever
  7. Bog roll or wet wipes ? Camera, mobile phone, first aid kit.
  8. Do you think they work on the basis that you daren't complain for fear of upsetting them ? After all, you pay your money, make your application yet they have the power to grant/deny your application, So this could make you reluctant to complain some :hmm:
  9. I've seen this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280640958019&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_706wt_1139 on flea bay, wonder how it might compare to RFD's offerings?
  10. We're looking for accommodation for 4 Adults and a Child towards the end of March in the Inverness/Loch Ness Area, nothing extravagant, just clean and homely B&B or Travel Inn std, our party comprises 2 Adults and 2 Adults + 10yr old child. Whilst there, we need to get to the Loch and back again, And we need/would like to find someone who could take my wife and her sister out onto the Loch to scatter their late parents ashes. Im NOT asking anyone to put us up, but my wife/sister in law want to come and scatter their late parents ashes and the organising has kinda got left to me :look: So if anyone's local and can point us in the right direction that'd be a great help. ATB - Neil
  11. +1 maybe it looks better in the metal
  12. As a relative newcomer to the whole shooting hobby, I looked at either a 410 or a 28g for rabbits and hopefully for my 10yr old son to handle, and both seem very expensive shot for shot compared to 12g or 20g also 28g shotguns seem to be disproportionally expensive compared to others (have a compare on say Guntrader for example) We're trying a secondhand 20g this weekend with normal and light load cart's
  13. He'd heard someone started a rumour of Roe deer in Essex, and just wanted to say........"What..You're kidding"

    Lent

The will to live, A: caused by the sheer frustration of waiting for my FEO to make contact again B: Reading all the bickering and one upmanship posted both here and other forums
  15. Im often out and about in the wee small hours with the taxi or minibus, the most foxes I counted in one night was 46 and this was urban, the most bizzare sight.........an albino badger cub. There's one main road on the outskirts of town where the deer have a habit of lying down across the road.
  16. Richie, As I believe I've already said in an earlier post, whatever they are, frustratingly, they're safe from me as I only have application in for FAC Air and .22lr and SGC. Even IF (Big IF) I was to put in for .243 which I believe is the requirement in Essex, I doubt that I would get it so early in my shooting career.
  17. I've spent a while looking at google images, and the photo's of the fallow deer have tails whereas the roe have nothing more than a stump. Think I'm more convinced that what I've seen are Roe deer. Guess my next task/challenge is to get some photo's
  18. Either way...........Do they make for good eating ?
  19. I say tail. I mean where you would expect the tail to be coming from (just above it's rsole) but in reality was nothing more than a stump.
  20. Some years ago I went to Chicago armed with a spare suitcase containing Bassetts Jelly Babies, Jaffa Cakes, Marmite and PG Tips Teabags had some explaining to do at Customs.
  21. Was out at the weekend walking some more of a new permission and took my son and his air rifle just to do a bit of plinking at something over the 10 metres that we can manage in the garden. Anyways,as we packed up and walked back to the bus, looked through a hedge into a neighbouring field (also on my permission) a small group of 12-15 Deer. They are a sort of light brown/grey (think old straw maybe) with a darker back ontop, and white rump around the tail. They were just browsing on the plowed field, looked in our direction for a moment, then just carried on browsing the ground and moving slowly across the field. Im thinking Roe maybe ? frustrating thing is, they're safe as I'm still waiting for my FAC and only likely to get .22lr and FAC Air Edited to add : No visible sign of any form of antlers
  22. You have your local Registered Firearms Dealer (RFD) send the gun/item to the purchasers local RFD who then handles the handover to the person purchasing the gun/item The RFD sending the item will charge for the service and most RFD's receiving an item will no doubt make a charge for their services too. I haven't done this personally but it would seem the most logical conclusion as to how it would work ?
