  1. I'll have them! Can pick up early tomorrow morning if poss? Edited: Fraction of a second late. If the above poster doesn't buy them I'll still have them. Cheers
  2. Rather than ruining his and your special day why not try to make him think about it a bit more? How you deal with your own kids is at the end of the day entirely up to you. I Personally wouldn't deal with it the way you were thinking of though. A letter from Santa may make him think a little but a video from him would work better IMO. You can choose whether you want a naughty or nice video too for him. http://www.portablenorthpole.com/home To remove all presents though for something he has done previously could end up having a huge negative effect on him and his future attitude.
  3. NOOOOO....They are my biggest customer. Plus we always get a free cuppa and bun when working there....
  4. We did that drive the other year and kept going up to Skjervoy at the top of Norway. LOOOOOONG drive that one. Took us 3 1/2 days stopping for fuel and supplies. Malmo bridge is pretty impressive isn't it but not exactly cheap. Took the E4 from Malmo north. Now that's another long road but very easy to drive with some stunning scenery.
  5. Seconded. Don't brush it...spray it. Brushed cars look Terrible IMO. For the sake of a few quid more it would be quicker and look far better.
  6. I have 255/55/18's on mine. Different wheel size I know but we don't have any bother with rubbing at all. Put General grabber AT2's on. Fantastic tyres for going round fields, into the woods, snow etc. Don't do any serious offroading in it though so can't comment on that situation.
  7. We had no reason to even think it prior to lending it Fruity. Be very very careful if you do. Best to make an excuse your money is all tied up in various financial investments which involve penalties if you withdraw your money early.
  8. Don't do it. I lent a family member a substantial amount of money two years ago who at the time I trusted and had no reason not to. Always worked, very rarely off sick and had paid smaller amounts back on the odd occasion when they had borrowed before. I have had a quarter of it given back to me so far but no payments in the last 6 months. Things have now got to the point of door knocking at all hours to have a few words with her. This works for a few weeks then payments stop and the excuses start again. Her spineless excuse of a husband rings occasionally saying how they are struggling financially and starts his pathetic crying on the phone. Next thing you know they are having relaxing breaks in Cornwall at his sisters or up in Scotland having a break. They are supposedly paying me £2000 back this weekend from their savings! SAVINGS? What the ****!!!
  9. Not sure what kind of axe you're looking for but Owen Bush makes axes, swords and knives down south. http://owenbush.co.uk/
  10. Can you hire a flat bed car transporter type motor locally? Transit based so you don't need any special licence to drive? One way trailer hire from a national company and a few quid to a mate for a few hours of his time and fuel money?
  11. Yes, it's a real reel as said. Few on ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-wooden-and-brass-Reel-by-Carter-and-Co-of-London-/190903096638
  12. Don't you own a tv? Congratulations/commiserations. Choose which ever you feel most appropriate.
  13. No problem mate. You will all love it! Any questions nearer the time or anytime just ask.
  14. Yes there's abar there but I bet you only use it once when you see the prices. Even the ferry prices from Harwich were bad! Oh the fishings pretty easy mate if you hit a shoal. We found 12 to 15 cod became a pest if that's possible and you need a heavy jig and fast reel to get through them to the big ones below. Think from memory without checking we used at least £180 plus of fuel in the boat too. Make sure you ask Balzas about what time you can buy beers etc in the supermarket too as they aren't allowed to sell after a set time. We generally had snow, wind and sun shine in an hour most days. Absolutely bizarre weather. I would definately go again though. Oh and watch your phone bill! Skjervoy's not part of Europe or the EU or something. Phone calls and data is masively expensive and the wifi is poor in the chalets if you are down by the boats in the lower cabins. I had a MASSIVE shock at my phone bill.
  15. Yup, I have been with anglers world. Fantastic place! Rather than type it all out again I'll link you to the WSF thread we did. http://www.worldseafishing.com/forums/europe/1077287-our-trip-skjervoy-through-anglers-world-picture-heavy.html You will have an absolute blast. Make sure you book an arvor boat though as the open ones didn't look much fun for April weather. A few times we had to shelter in the cabin from the snow. A red and silver jig worked best for us too. Hope the post on WSF gives you a good insight into what we did and how. It's a long post mind so make a cuppa before you start.
  16. I broke mine a few years ago. I'm self employed also and rushed back to work with an open cast boot on. Bad move. I still have problems with mine now and wish I had taken the doctors advice and rested up. If you have insurance then claim on it. I broke three of mine and once I had the open boot taken off recovery was a few weeks more after that as you have poor support compared to the flat base of the boot. I also had some insoles made which I did end up using for a few weeks to help support the arch under my foot. The NHS made them in about a week. Speedy recovery GB and don't rush too much to get back. Go easy on it once you are back up and about too.
  17. Had a mate who worked for the funeral service. He was on call and regularly called in for a cuppa in his 'private ambulance'. One evening he had picked up a jumper from a high bridge near us. I was intrigued as to what state a body gets once jumped so he offered to show me. Into the back of his van we went...he slowly unzipped said jumper....As he did it sat up and screamed. I exited his van backwards screaming also like Ned Flanders. It was one of his colleagues who had agreed to try 'scare me'. I didn't take it light heartedly at the time nor for a few weeks after. Complete lack of humour failure on my part. It was ages before I could laugh about it. I've got him back many times since but pub conversations used to always rotate about the time I screamed and jumped out of his van as a dead man screaming tried to grab me.
  18. I had a fatboy one years ago. Changed wheels to normal ones with mud tyres on, took the wide arches off to save ripping them off in the trees. Changed the suspension to astra shocks for a better softer ride as the fat boy ones were rock hard offroad.
  19. He could be on holiday. Everyone deserves to shut off for a week or two...
  20. I'm bad at making promises when a bit worse for drink and then sort of getting into bed, letting rip and falling asleep without the action.
  21. I'd heartily encourage kicking his other half's back doors in before he goes out personally.....
  22. A mannequins head facing the loft hatch. I damn near sh@ my kidney out when I first lifted the hatch and a face was staring at me. Think my wife wondered what was going on when I fell off the step ladder swearing and reeling backwards. It ended up being used in numerous cupboards, wardrobes and the garage to great comedy effect for scaring the wife and kids.
  23. It does state on their site and in their catalogue though that it will be 5 days delivery. You can't complain it's poor service when they state the delivery times openly and you failed to notice it.

If I see said countess Norkula I will definately ask her to hold a sign for you. Yup, that's the place. Security are bang on. Took us 10 minutes to get through the barrier. You should see the checklist we have to complete though to be added to their 'approved' contractor list prior to starting. It's crazy!
