  1. I'm with Mr Potter on this. Not a massive ground, but enough variety and they make good use of what is basically a flat field shoot. Car parking is okay rather than plentiful, with lack of hot food the only down side.

    9/11

You can't argue with the facts - classic quote. :look: :look: I thought that was what this thread was all about. The world and his wife saw two planes crash in to the two towers. Video footage, eye witnesses - not enough for the conspiracy theorists. Is it not sufficient that some low-lifes killed innocent people without some half-wits saying it was an inside job? There are times when part of humanity makes me feel ashamed.

The ones damaged were the ones the planes flew into, unless that was a conspiracy illusion.

Firstly, you would have to pack a specific floor with explosives. Then you would have to train a piece of cowardly scum to fly a plane, which he could accurately fly into the exact floor. Half a brain cell is more than enough to see through conspiracy theories. Just why are people so gullible? It's embarrassing. To those who get over relatives' death in a short time - I do think you need to get a life and develop relationships. Most people have lost someone dear to them. I would not like to be the sort of person who just shrugged it off with the attitude of - "ah well, life goes on". Very, very sad view of life.
  5. It will be able to be fixed, but it's not a £10 job. Should be less than £100, which is worth it on a Miroku.

Death from below / MM - don't hold back - just tell it as it is. :look: It annoys me that whatever the tragedy - and this was mass murder by scum - some sicko will try to make money from it. Worse still, people help them make money by buying rubbish.

    Take Away

I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. In 2003, I had a takeaway from a kebab shop in St Ives Cornwall. I was pretty ill the day after and couldn't walk properly. I vowed never to have another takeaway. That didn't last. Recovered temporarily, only to find it was actually Septicaemea, which came close to killing me. Totally unconnected with the kebab place.
  8. My lads were pleased when our mortgage ended - more money for them and only two people in their way. :look:
  9. Each to his own, but the gold adds nothing and detracts something chronic.
  10. Too much money. Buy a mint secondhand gun. Wood looks a little light to me.

    Dogs

I have no wish to start a long running thread where various people will put the boot in various breeds. I ask that those who were quick to condemn certain breeds, just read this and take a step back. The question is - Do you have the restraint to just read it, without resorting to a diatribe? http://web.orange.co.uk/article/news/toddl...fter_dog_attack Please - just read it and let it go.
  12. Le Chameau - had a pair for about 6 years now.
  13. I have a number of friends in the Police and have dealt with hundreds of them. Most are brilliant. Most respect the uniform, others hide behind it. Why didn't he pick on someone twice his size? Because he wouldn't be sure of the outcome. This man is a cowardly bully. He doesn't need defending, he needs sacking. Are you seriously saying that if you are not subservient, despite being arrested for no offence whatsoever, you deserve a beating? The world has taken leave of its senses.
  14. Maionchi - skeet 9's. I used a lot of them on Sporting - late 80's. Not seen them around until this year. Loved them.
  15. A cowardly bully, who got what was coming to him. There have been hints that this was not the first time he resorted to violence against people who were in his charge. The District Judge and the Assistant Chief Constable had him bang to rights and condemned him. They will have more knowledge than me or most other people. His own colleague turned him in. That says it all. The punishment is harsh, as he has ruined his future - who would want to employ a woman beating coward, but he has brought it on himself. To anyone who defends him - why?
  16. Problem was that they had no grounds for asking her for a breath sample. Being asleep in a car isn't sufficient grounds - thank goodness.
  17. I have still seen nothing to say she was in fact drunk. Lots of hints, but nothing concrete. The cowardly bully got little support from the Judiciary and his own Force:-
  18. His brief has lodged an immediate appeal. It is not clear whether this was against conviction or sentence. My view is that it must be against the sentence, or his appeal would have gone in following the conviction.I am happy for Mungler to put me right - if needed. His problem is that it could be increased on appeal. If the District Judge has decided a custodial is warranted, it is one of the lighter sentences. Mungler - just read your post. He did not enter a guilty plea. He was convicted after a trial.
  19. Before we say he will get off too lightly and it will be a whitewash job, as the last poster has pointed out - he was reported by a colleague. That tells me that the Police, although not perfect, know when the line has been crossed. This coward will be punished and the stigma will remain with him for the rest of his life. So it should.
  20. I must have missed something. Is it a fact that she was drunk? Why was she asked for a breath test? She was asleep in her car - no moving traffic offence - no behaviour to suggest drunkeness. She sounds an oddball, but that doesn't mean she deserves to be assaulted. I trust he will be treated as any member of the public. He has been convicted of ABH - doesn't really warrant a jail sentence. He has lost his job and will be a bit of an outcast. He has acted as a cowardly bully - just about what he is.
  21. I was at a petrol station in Bolton earlier. Bloke had just put £40 petrol in his diesel. He was in the AA and wanted to move his car away from the pumps. My advice was not to start the engine, but push it over. Despite me being in a pretty bad car accident in July - bad back - not recovered - it was slightly downhill and involved no bending. We gave the car a gentle push. I asked him if he was okay steering the car from outside. He said he was. I asked if he could stop the car from the outside. He said he could. As the car gathered a little pace, I again asked if he could get to the brakes. He said it was okay just as his front wing clipped a pillar at the side of the forecourt. Bit of a mess. Don't know what he was thinking about.
  22. Vecomm - I have to declare an interest - the lad you bought your sight off is a good friend of mine, Graham. They are cheaper than Easyhit and better packaging from memory.
  23. Cat - another little gem. Well done and thanks for the write up.
