  1. Me too, after motor bikes clay pigeon shooting is the best fun you can have out of bed. Also go see a coach worth every penny if any good. Just a thought but what was Tigers coach helping him with wimmin or golf!!

  3. mans uneducated, tempted to call him a *** (piece of wood etc on the end of a stick ) but he plays a mean guitar.
  4. I can only comment on industrial safety courses, in industry the idea of most safety courses is that you attend the course and come away from it safer in the job that you are doing. Most have an exam at the end of them as its one of the easiest ways to quantify how much you have or haven't learnt. So in a way the instructors going over the questions attendees get wrong is not a bad thing in itself, remember its not competition its education. And if you have had to go over something 2 or 3 times you aren't going to forget it. But if you just cannot grasp the concepts of safe behaviour or operation of equipment (in this case gun handling) you should then fail. Oh and well done for gaining the pass!
  5. As far as I understand from the books I have read, barrel length is only significant for complete combustion of powder charge if using black powder. With modern nitro powders its as you say all done well before the legal minimum length of 24 inches. Also there should be no difference in velocity between shotgun barrel lengths for the same cartridge either, unlike rifles where if you take the barrel shorter you can make a difference to the muzzle velocity. But I am only repeating what I have read in various shooting books. Sodit

    "red" rant

I have traveled the A13 from M25 to Dagenham around 0530 on various days of the week working shifts for 15 years and some years back just to see if it was possible I stuck the car in cruise at 55mph and sat in the inside lane until I turned off at Dagenham. I passed 22 cars all in the middle and outside lanes. What the **** where they doing in the two outer lanes at a speed less than 55!!?? OK its now actually illegal to undertake but when I did this "experiment" they hadnt introduced the law for undertaking although I could have probably been done for driving without due care or something. Another of my pet peeves is Tailgating maybe not tailgating but driveing to close to the car in front. This is one of the main reasons for those curious traffic jams you encounter on busy dual carrigeways and motorways you know the ones I mean slow down to a crawl or stop then pull away again and never seem to come across an accident or breakdown. Oh well non of us are perfick but some of the drivers out there shoud not be in charge of a kiddys scooter let alone a car. Sodit
  8. I think its due to the overal length what with the long barrel and the wrist brace is fixed. Anyone got a definitive answer?

  15. Good report some nice pics as well, I have actually shot at Orville and it must be about the best ground I have missed at so far. I liked the lay out where on the last stand most of the birds are below you that was different. If I remember right there must be about 10 indvidual layouts and some good high birds. Had a good afternoon there but I think it needs 2 days to try everything.
  16. Look at this link to a PDF file at BASC regarding multichoke failures and some testing done to see what can cause failure, you will have to down load the file to read it. I would not use a shotgun without its chokes fitted. Although the report does not cover using the weapon without a choke fitted it is obvious the you are risking damage, possible terminal for the barrel if not you. By the way on which web site did you see this unadvisable idea?? As for America and Americans great place to visit but I wouldnt want to live there and the Yanks are just like most other folks theres thick uns and clever uns and in the middle uns just more of each if you follow my drift http://www.basc.org.uk/en/utilities/docume...A4F4F9CB29C58B2
  17. Try looking here http://www.mynsca.com/net/club_search.aspx its the search page for the National Sporting Clays Association in the USA should be able to select Florida and then link to the listed clubs hope that helps
