  1. shooting f class today i had 3 cci br2 fail to fire out of 35 .not the end of the world but i have no ejector so it was bolt out each time during a match.
  2. different shape bullets will have different ogive measurements and different bearing surfaces .as long as you treat each bullet as a new load from scratch and work carefully this should be no problem.find the distance they jump 10 tho is a good place to start if they will mag feed or just load to mag length. enjoy and work carefully.
  3. that is a dangerous rifle, return it to be sorted.
  4. no summit pics ? don't tell me you did half a job? did you see the goats up there?great place to be,nice pics
  5. after chatting i had imagined something totally different Andrew .old rifles are not my thing normally but that is class.
  6. lol fingers crossed kyska
  7. don't say that i'm waiting for some to be drilled in silby lol thought i'd be on to a good thing.
  8. 17 hornet is not much louder than 17hmr but i personally found it hard to get vert tight groups .50 at best it is not one of those cals you can just throw together each kernel of powder matters.very nice to be in controll of home loads and no split necks.the only reason i don't own one is cz or savage don't do it for me (i had a savage when they first came out)if only anschutz did a thumbhole hornet wow.for the difference i didn't enjoy picking my brass out of the mud and searching the long grass for every bit so went back to hmr close range out to 100 ish and 6mm br for long range but 223 / 204 expand just as well as 17 cal .if its something you need to do have fun but wind is a small cal killer .expect a high miss rate at 300. or is it just my shooting lol mike
  9. if its shooting that well i have no right to preach mate but using mixed brass normally is not great for tight groups you just one of those stuffy **** who is getting stunning accuracy easy lol.
  10. a hornady comparator .just seen your grouping on a 5p so stunning accuracy mate you have fell on your feet with that good load.check out ammosmith.com
  11. holding your bullets to seat , have you chamford the brass enough? on the second vid did you zero the scales? and trickle each powder throw up to a precise load? to do vids on you tube bud you need to know your onions or you could cause/influence someone to make an error.sorry so negative mate but be carefull.on the posative note its a great hoby you have started. north leicester bud
  12. you need a mentor only watched part of the first one but yout taking your bullet measurenent off the point not the ogive (points are all different lengths) your die will make each round consistant you should not be tweaking or forcing bud.i'll offer to teach you but i'm far away so hope you get a mentor offer closer.be carefull be safe have fun. mike
  13. you can get a very nice barnard trigger to fit a tikka but if your on a budget then dave from valkyrie rifles does the lighter trigger springs.tikka all the way for me,can't say they shoot any better just a better quality feel to the rifle .if it was just for foxing then personally i would have the light weight hunter with a big knod and trigger spring.i have never picked up a remy and its done it for me.
  14. forget the guys name now but c2r is good stuff for cleaning copper,so good it eats your jag.i have a bottle after guys shooting f class recomended it,the guy that makes it has something to do with the shooting shed i think (top bloke) however i tend to use shooters choice or butches bore shine day to day with a bronze brush
  15. i'm supprised he said a 22 pistol is not much more than an air gun i think we need a better spokesman.any one who talks with his hands like a gangster rapper homey around 3.10 mins in and don't realise the ft lbs difference from air to 22 is in the wrong job.
  16. what a stupid bragging thing to write.i know some times there is no other option but my dog is family and i would think very hard about shooting a member of someones family if i did i would not brag about it.
  17. try braking into a gun shop to steal them, then you will find out why they are allowed.
  18. how can you risk your rifle to save a few quid ? i would not bother pal
  19. swarovski z6i 5x30x50 bt would be the best
  20. imo find a mentor and the internet is your friend. if you just want to make ammo a basic kit is fine .if your the sort of guy who is going to chase accuracy buy quality first time out.if your passing leicester and want to build a few your welcome or pm if you get stuck. you will be glad you started it pal but it can be a tad addictive and just as good a hoby as pulling the trigger. mike and to answer your question press dies primer seater champher de burr tool scales powder primers bullets safe starting point for a good powder to suit the cal and bullet norman clarkes do a one cal one book if not then a good manual
  21. go through aim field sports john imports them and is a top bloke to deal with.the sightron scopes are winning alot of comps in the last year.good choice.
  22. you in loughborough wayne ? took a couple of foxes to a guy in lough once and he had a chuffing great hyena.
  23. i suspect that pilot was fighting for lives till the end.coincidence all the tower blocks around and it ended slaming fast into a river?the pilot is a hero .can't believe people walked away.
  24. hope not tony only hunts paper.he is a f class shooter.
