  1. Superb mate... Remember this day, with your Dad.. A great day and you got to share it with him too! Brilliant..
  2. Used one the other day, bloody battery was flat... Pulled the birds very well, 37 in the bag, + some lost in high rape, all in 2 1/2 hours.. They are very good!
  3. Problem using a microwave motor is that you get a full days shooting in 10 minutes!
  4. Well guys, nice to meet you, some again, others for the first time.. Anyway, James and I arrived late as we said we would but soon caught up and had a great time with you all and as usual the banter was superb, the "Indians" call did it for me! ***** Anyway the moment you've all been waiting for, the scores on the doors! I have only been given 9 score cards so here they are! Scores were out of 90 Sporting clays. *** Score Person 1. 66. Danger Mouse.................................CURRENT CHAMPION.. 2. 60? Scaffy (from memory) 3. 57. Hawkeye 4. 54. Neil 5. 46. Jonrms 5. 46. Win22 7. 41. Hesky 8. 40. M Bird 9. 39. Photopro 10. 36. Sutty 11. 31. Chris Withers 12. 27. Neil PH Add to this that James@Scarborough scored 21 from 50. At a guess that would have put him on about 38 from 90.. If I have missed anyone, it is simply because I wasn't given your card, pm me and I will add it in.. If you would prefere your member name on here again let me know! Well done to everyone who turned up and heres to next time!
  5. Ok mate, I have read what you want to do and to be honest I don't think that you realy know what you want to do, you either want to be a keeper or be a Pest Controler, the two are totally different. So if you want to be a keeper go on an aggri course and keep helping your friend, in the keeper circles people talk and you may land yourself a job one day. If you want to be a pro pest controler, be prepared to be checking mouse and rat boxes and writing reports all day because thats what is the norm. You will get to shoot sometimes, normally ferrals in a loft or at a factory, sometimes (depending where you work) Rabbits but usually thats it! You will find that most of the time you will be in factories, office blocks, cafes, restaurants, houses and so on, not in the open fields.. This is reality.. As to Rentokil lads earning £18k well most of them are on £13K and the rest is made up of O/T and commission, most I know earn about £16k but some do earn more without a doubt! If you do want to go down this route then as has been said, the BPCA is a very good option, but not the NPTA (National Pest Technitions Association) The BPCA qualifications now include the RSH qualification too (Royal Society of Health.) Rentokil will give you reasonable training but it is biased on their products, which to be frank in my oppinion some are a little bit lacking. Further to this Rentokil are going through some major changes at the moment and a lot of people are unhappy! There will be some vacancies soon! Hope that this helps..
  6. Kdubya, well done to you and Mike, I will wait for my invitation!
  7. I have some, only 6, I bought them to try out, also have hypa flappers, used the sillosocks once and had 19 in 2 hours so they do work, having said that I had the hypaflaps out too! I must admit, they do look good when they are set up!
  8. Ferrets now re homed, thanks for all the replies.. It was like a free for all!
  9. Chris, pm me with your details mate, take your number off the public view, you never know who's looking at the site, anti's etc..
  10. As it says I have 2 gill ferrets (Polecats!) that can go free to a good working home, I will not let these two go seperate and can only go to someone who will house them well and look after them. Both are very tame, unless you are a rabbit! they do NOT bite people! They can be picked up from Hunmanby near Filey.. Why are they free to a good home?, well they are not getting used enough! simple as that! All the nets and boxes etc will be sold on ebay, here or on Hunter World when the ferrets have gone, unless I am made a realistic offer first! I have a number of purse nets, 2 huge long nets (100 mtrs each) and stakes, double travel box, and a two tier cage.. PM me if your interested! Thanks Andy
  11. The tight ****, I run my own company and I will tell you that I cant run one of our own vehicles for 9p per mile, this company is taking the micky, they should look at not only running costs but also your other costs too! Insurance, Tax, MOT, Tyres, Servicing, depreciation, etc etc They are laughing all the way to the bank mate! Find another company to work for!
  12. There is another way around this Marine1980, get your Uncle to get some "private " shooting, then go on that with him.. I'm sure that he or some of his mates have secured some shooting somewhere mate!
  13. Good idea long stock, packs away and light too.. Anyone got an old roach pole that they don't want anymore?
  14. Mine used to look like that, then it grew up Megan at 14 weeks.. Get em bought lads, the person who said that you could'nt buy happiness had never bought a puppy!
  15. Mark, I have some, never used, still in the cheep plastic bag that they came in cost me about £15.00 yours for £12.00 plus P+P mate, OR I will give em to Hawkeye if you are likely to see him! Let me know mate!
  16. Did'nt realise that Baikal Boy had come all that way, hat off to you mate, look forwards to meeting with you again! As to you Jonrms, well Megan is a tart and would have gone with you if you had tried! But she is my Bitch! I will bring her shooting when she is trained and a bit older eh!
  17. Nice photo's LG, sorry to hear about your gun mate! Looks a right mess!
  18. I enjoyed that guys, nice to meet people, put faces to names (oh and put names to names! ) Must do it again! Danger Mouse = Andy.
  19. I just bought one from Hawkeye, an Auto that is, It is a Beretta 303, very nice gun.. also had a remmington 1100 on loan, nice but not as smooth as the 303.. The Extrema 2 looks like a cracking gun though, just out of my budget!
  20. Wouldn't that mean you were the one that bought it! No it had a different last letter!
  21. Cooky, no ones getting ripped off mate, the reg no stands up for it's self, if people don't want to buy it at that price then they won't, if they like it and want it then they have the right to decide if it's worth the money or not, the last one that DVLA had went to auction and fetched £1300.00, so like I said, bargain!
