the warning signs were there but ignored. it's not tighter regulations we need it's more common sense.

    bedroom tax

it effects anyone on housing benifit. so for example ~ if youve got a 65 year old lady who's worked all her life but is now struggling to get around for health reasons and she is now claiming housing benifit she will be hit with the bed room tax, even if she's surrounded by relatives/naibours who go in to help her daily she will either have to move and loose her support network or pay the extra out. I agree it needed looking at to stop people getting 4 bedroom farm houses on housing beinift but also common sense needed to be used which i dont think it has. this will lead to the old and disabled who used to have a support network from naibours being lost in the system with possible terrible results
  14. thats why i'd never ben to a clay club i didnt want the formal thing, but S & C are very relaxed and welcoming.

what about asking to fit a proper shotgun cabinat so that way it would be secured as per SG#c rules?? might just be a way forward.

  18. hi John no it was shaw & crompton clay club. just outside shaw near oldham. a few lads there recomended me to try kelbrook as well as they said it had a good atmosphere there as well.
  19. salvage as much out of it as you can (financialy) if they new shoot wants to buy the gear at a fair price all well and good but dont just let them have it unless theres a discount offord to members of the old club. good luck sorting the problem
  20. it's nice when youre confused and then you "TWIG" nice to see you branching out. (sorry couldnt resist)
  21. yes they are free from the nhs gov site but there are around 5 other sites who can process it (legaly) unfortunatly they charge for their service. just make sure you go through the nhs/gov site and its free.
  22. i'd probably never gone to a club for that reason mate (not wanting to feel out of place) but we were both made to feel very welcome so will definatly be going back.
  23. ive been shooting (shotguns) for about 20 years shooting clays on locals farms and rabbits/pigeons etc but had never been to a clay shooting club.. recently whilst doing some clays on a local farm I met a chap who invited us to a local clay club (shaw & Crompton) so I had a ride up today (without guns) expecting to feel a bit like a fish out of water but there was no need, what a great bunch of lads from the moment we got out of the car to the time we left at the end we were made to feel really welcome, offord the use of several members guns so we could shoot a few clays whilst there. a really nice informal club with really genuine lads who are there for a relaxed fun mornings shooting. going back in 2 weeks with my lad (and guns this time)
  24. download "ireb" and run that on the ipod that might allow you to unlock it.
