  1. Yes, I agree that it, in itself, is not taxed, but as it's extra 'income' it affects my tax code etc. It's unfair that, as I have decided to continue to work, the state pension is taken into account of earnings. It should be completely separate and tax should only be paid on earnings due to being employed (this will never happen of course)
  2. When I checked on my NI contributions, I found out that there were a few years that they hadn't been paid. A couple of them were due to my very first employer(I was 17) not paying them, and a few more when my EX wife didn't pay them when I was self employed for a few years (she did the books etc) but I still had enough years paid in to qualify for the full amount. Now aged 66, and still working full time, I get the 'fantastic large amount' of £815:40 pm, but thjis is class as income and as such, is added to my wages and taxed. I no longer pay N.I. contributions, but I'm taxed a hell of a lot out of my monthly pay.I do think it's unfair that something that I've paid into for 50 years should be taxed, if I'm still in employment.
  3. Yes, firmware is up to date. I've received a message via the HIKMICRO Outdoors site which stated that 'close' is actually one of the settings for the reticules (switch off) but I can't see how to select other reticules. The instruction booklet that came with it is pathetic. I've printed off 18 pages of instructions(there's loads more) off the internet that explains things in more detail. I'm going to check it later.
  4. Does anyone own the above? I am having a problem trying to find what reticule to choose. When I go through the menu, and then 'click' on 'Reticule', all I see is a 'Close' message in the top left corner of the screen and cannot continue any further. I have to swich the power off and then back on again. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong (?) Mine is the Mk1 version if that makes a difference. Any advice/help appreciated.
  5. The Primos trigger stick has a 'universal' size camera thread which hsould accept 99% of add on's. I presume the BOG clamp has the same thread size.
  6. Selling on behalf of my mate. 100 of the above cases, once fired. I have deprimed them, full length resized them and wet tumbled them. £43:00 inc signed for postage. Now reduced to £35:00 inc signed for postage.
  7. Thanks. I've used my thermal spotter to identify many animals including fox. sheep and rabbits. I'm hoping that when I attach the Thunder to one of my rifles (possibly my .22 Hornet) and get it syncronised with the scope, all will be good. That's the main reason I bought it. I can fit it to other scopes as long as I remember the 'X/Y' settings for each one.
  8. For sale: The above rail that fits the CZ527 (16mm) dovetails. I purchased this off a PW member but I require a longer Picatinny rail. Sell for £35 including 2nd class/signed for postage.
  9. Hi Gordon, I've been away for a few days so haven't had chance to try it out yet. I hope to do so in due course and will add my views on it soon. Steve.
  10. You are correct, and there are a few available that fit both the AR15 and S&W MP 15-22. A bit expensive though. I was looking at one sold by Rimfiremagic. It's, as you mentioned, a one piece unit. I'll take a look at some Youtube video's and see what's what. I'm not sure of the trigger pull on the rifle, I'll check it later. Thanks.
  11. Has anyone ever fitted a drop in replacement trigger on the above rifle? I would like to upgrade the trigger on mine but not sure if it's a case of 'one out one in'?
  12. I received my package from Parcelfarce at 09:00 today. The sender is contacting them to try and get a refund on the postage that I paid for.
  13. Finally received the above. Now to take a week out to find out how to use it!
  14. I used EVO STIK 'IMPACT' contact adhesive to glue my wife's trainer soles. It worked well.
  15. Next day should have been Friday. It was posted on Thursday. I didn't have a choice on what courier to use.
  16. My package was sent down from Bradford two days ago and was delayed and now sitting in the Parcel Farce depot in Newport south Wales! It was supposed to have been delivered yesterday (I paid for next day delivery in the price of the goods!)
  17. Thanks. I'll hold on for a while as I'm trying to sort out my other CZ. I'll get back to you should when I'm ready.
  18. To be honest, that's what I was thinking. The mounts have gripped tightly and as mentioned, there's virtually no recoil on the rifle (.22 Hornet)
  19. These are the original mounts that are on my 527. The Picatinny rail that I purchased fits perfectly onto these.
  20. Because I intend using a Thermal scope on the rifle and it can only be fitted on a Picatinny rail. I do have mounts that fit directly onto the rifle, as it was and still is used with a 'normal scope'. The Picatinny rail that I purchased off a PW member has 4 screws (two on each'end') that attach to the dovetails that are fitted on the rifle.
  21. The fixed rifle mount on the CZ 527 are 16mm. I fitted the Picatinny/Weaver rail which was made for that rifle (I believe)
  22. Yes, I did notice on one set of mounts that the bolt that goes through the 'slot' on the rail is square'ish and it would not seat deep enough into the rail. I was going to file a fraction off the bolts but then found another set which were slightly better. I'm not too happy at the way the mounts clamp on the rail though. I don't think the scope will come off, and the rifle is a .22 Hornet so hardly any recoil. These are the scope mounts. They grip the PicatinnyWeaver rail but don't seem 'right' to me. I've tried turning the claws around but no joy. Thanks.
  23. I recently purchased the above rail off a member on here (it was the right one) to attach to the 'dovetails on the rifle. The only issue now is that I can't seem to find scope mounts (25mm) to fit correctly onto the rail. I have fitted one set but not entirely happy with them. Does anyone know if there is a certain make that will fit correctly please?
  24. For sale: This was owned by my late father. It's in good condition and has no identifying marks on it. The blade has a very fine film of grease on it. Overall it's in very good condition. Sell for £20:00 inc pp. Proceeds will be given to my mother who will add it to other monies for cancer charities. Buyer must state that they are over 18 years of age.
