    reports and photographs from who?
  2. I though Hugh Grant’s character was brilliant, so much better than the bumbling, simpering English gent type role he has played before. I thought it was a really entertaining movie as well.

He is a hugely divisive and polarising figure, no doubt about that. I agree there are a great many entrenched in an opposing view just because it is anti Trump. It is not unreasonable to suggest that the run off in Georgia flipped to the Democrats because of Trump, he motivated the opposition to the polls while at the same time convincing the Republican voters that your votes don’t count as it’s all a fraud. If you have any belief in the integrity of the US court system then you have to believe there is no actual evidence of large scale systemic fraud, it is simply bellicose rhetoric, propaganda and hearsay. If you don’t believe in the integrity of the courts then there can be no independent assessment of anything. I see the BBC are reporting 3 deaths as non specific medical emergencies, which by definition must be mostly accurate as dying is a medical emergency, at least it is right up until the point of expiry 🙂

The problem is that there is a huge amount of people in the US that are just like Walker and so blinded by their passion/devotion to Trump that they hang on his every word and believe the rhetoric while dismissing everything contrary as fake news or corruption. It doesn’t matter that 62 court cases brought in support of Trump’s nonsense have been dismissed, that no evidence of large scale fraud has been produced in court, that ballot counts have been audited numerous times and found correct, that there is even a telephone call of Trump trying to coerce a State Secretary into rigging the results. There is still something more that they will claim has not happened, i.e. a full independent enquiry, and it’s all a scam. So long as people like that are so deeply entrenched in that train of thought then only the word of Trump or his equally imbecilic mouthpieces like Cruz carry any weight with them. And the word of Trump yesterday incited that mob and caused people to die in pursuit of Trump’s vainglory. Don’t blame those that have been conned, blame the conman and those in power who parrot his message.

I hope it was. I hadn't appreciated the typo in my message either 😳

He practically told them in his earlier address to do what they did. Then in his last message he told them he loved them, he loves the mob that attacked the defining symbol of US democracy. It's staggering.

Do you believe that Trump is culpable in any way for what happened at the Capitol today?
  8. In respect to what Starmer does as LoO i agree with your post. What I think is daft is people saying what would Starmer or Corbyn done if the were PM? They’re not though so it’s just a speculative guess. Holding the PM to account and holding the LoO to account for what they do (or dont) in their respective positions is fine, but the speculation of what they might have done is daft and pointless. A good rant does you good, hope you feel better for it
  9. I agree with the sentiment in your post. There is far too much unthinking tribalism and it is a very real problem. So is the level of whataboutery, it matters not a bit what Starmer or Corbyn might have done, they’re not PM. I don’t really understand why free thinking people should be so quick to robustly defend people they have no connection with other than sharing a party political alliance. Even if you are broadly a BoJo fan you must still be capable of recognising and acknowledging when he gets it wrong. I am dismayed at so many thing in the BoJo government and I was a member of the party. Most of all I am dismayed at the fundamental lack of honesty and sincerity.
  10. That’s not true in respect to FB rights, although it is a commonly held belief. Watermarking is the best bet Henry, although a determined person could manipulate the image to remove.
  11. Thanks for sharing that. They were a funny pair, Peter Cook was brilliantly dry. From way before my tIme, but have seen a few clips over the years.
  12. A horrible end to 2020 for you Martin, I hope that 2021 is a much better year.
  13. It is all a load of cobblers though, there is a genuine and non chemtrail explanation for everything.
  14. Dave, I suspect this is the site, or very similar, that you have seen all the pictures on. https://www.philipstallings.com/2015/12/the-facts-about-chemtrails.html I particularly like the picture of the cockpit control with the chemtrail label. If you are so inclined and have time you will find a genuine explanation for every image.
  15. Hang on, stop the press. While looking for another picture I came across this one. I'm now convinced chemtrails must be a thing, there is a picture with yellow annotations and stuff circled and all sorts of compelling information. There is even a picture of the chemtrail monitoring satellite 😳
  16. I suspect this is maybe the sort of pic Dave was replying to. I have seen the pics he mentioned when used by someone else trying to defend the conspiracy. I can't find the exact pictures and accompanying story, suffice to say it was all a load of cobblers.
  17. Did she demand her way with you too? The woman has no boundaries.
  18. So do you believe that everyday contrails are really chemtrails and we are subject to continual aerial spraying? Of the two which is factual and which is speculative?
  19. Really? My first experience in a club at 15 I thought it was magic. Oh how my memory is filled with hazy past images of life learning moments and life lesson teaching ladies. Vive la looking older than your years.
  20. Was that the fancy dress referenced in your earlier post?.. HNY Dave, trusting that this post isn’t blocked of course 😬
  21. Do you consider the earth is flat too Dave?
  22. Me too. All the very best to you and yours for a fabulous 2021.
  23. My heel cups wince in sympathy with your resolution number 2. My 3 resolutions: Have the courage to make change where I can and the fortitude to accept the consequence of change when I cant. Walk 1000 more miles than i did in 2020. Tell Keira Knightly “No you can’t have a night of unbridled and relentless physical sexual pleasure just because ‘you’ want to”. My feelings count too”.
