  1. Reading, Berkshire. A guy based in Fleet did it.
  2. Had a brick 6x4 meter workshop built in my garden about 3 yrs ago. Did the roof, doors and windows myself. Cost about 5k for the shell only
  3. I think it's also been made harder for them after they were forced into temp accommodation after a leaking air con unit wrecked their permanent offices. They sent me letters 20 weeks before renewal to get my forms and payment in. I think it's been 12 weeks so far and heard nothing and both tickets run out in march :(
  4. Got a copy of Fallout4 for xmas, but i'm just not getting into it .. yet. Hopefully its a slow burner. Finally took the plunge to upgrade to a ps4 from my trusted (and ancient!) ps3 for Assasins Creed Syndicate, which wasnt bad, but a bit repetitive.
  5. Sorry, but the HW100 is notoriously pellet fussy. Once you have found the right pellet, it is a machine. I can tell by the first couple of shots if my HW is going to shoot well or not with a particular make. For some reason my HW likes Accupels, so thats what I buy. I am not familiar with the BSA but the 14shot mag with simple cocking lever on the HW is faultless and reliable. No messing for pellets when its dark and lamping rabbits
  6. My 725 was exactly the same as you describe. After a thousand shells it hadnt free'd up so back it went to Browning. It was turned around remarkably quickly and the jamming has completely gone. Leaves a bad taste after spending so much money on a 'premium' brand. If it didn't shoot as well as it does I'd have shifted it on...
  7. No problem RC. Most issues happen when you either try to multi task too much on the network or overload it. As a rule of thumb, we design systems to be on their own dedicated network and limit the bandwidth to just over 50% of the total available. eg: 5 cameras pulling 10mbps each are ok on a 10/100mbps switch. 7-8 cameras would crash it without throttling them back. WiFi adds another point of failure, so we tend to hardwire where we can.
  8. In a word yes, if the routers locked up theres a good chance the nvr will not be receiving any of the camera streams. The way round it is to use a dedicated switch to get the camera streams to the nvr and use a spare port for the router. An unmanaged d-link or netgear would be ok. Hth! Rich.
  9. I had the chance to try this out a recent security show in London. http://www.flir.com/flirone/atPlay.cfm Its fairly low resolution, but because it combines the I phone camera image along with the thermal image it actually produces quite a good quality picture. FLIR have just released the price will be around $350, which is remarkably low for thermal imagers Does anyone see a use as a spotter/stalking tool?
  10. I had the same thing on a Hope front disc. Turned out the disc was warped. You can check it easily by removing the disc from the hub and laying it on a flat piece of glass. HTH!
  11. Good luck with the Weihwauch m8! I nearly left a sarky comment earlier to say that you should have bought an HW100 in the 1st place! On a related note, I was making room in my cabinet for a new shottie the other day and pulled out the HW100KT that has been stored in there unfired and un-cocked for over a year (don't ask..) The pressure was still bang on the Green/Red line! Awesome tools, some say they're not pretty, but as a hunting rifle I've personally not used anything better Mine loves Accupels (they are pellet fussy tho'!)
  12. Not my experience as well. I've dealt with two jurisdiction in the past 2yrs (Herts and Thames Valley) for both fac and sgc and the feo's couldn't have been more helpful or informative. Postcode lottery I guess??
  13. Getting an FEO visit on the 20th of May TVPFD are quoting 60 days on application, so considering I put in my SGC app on the 26th March, it's not too bad.. This is a new SGC app, but considering I already had Section 1 FAC I was hoping that it was going to be a bit quicker... :(
  14. Horses for courses DS. THere is a big difference from a casual corporate day to playing league games as part of a team in matches. Speedball for example requires a lot of tactics (and a lot of paint!) to be successfull. Yes it can hurt, but with the proper gear its minimised and in team games headshots and marker/gun hits do count as that is the only bit you usually ever see.. I used to go out with a 1000 paint on me.. Sometimes i'd come back empty and other times I probably didnt fire more than ten shots! The 'Rambo' element was removed from the sport many, many years ago and as part of our prep talk any 'contact' was forbiddden. Its the corporate lot who think/pretend they are back in Nam digging foxholes and looking out for 'Charlie out on the wire'. I can assure you that being hit as a marshal hurts 10x more than when you are playing.. !!
  15. Played against the Preds once, many, many years ago (got our ***** whupped!) and used to marshal at Planet Paintball nr Brands Hatch to pay for tourny games... I've still got an .68 Automag in the loft somewhere (circa 1994?) !! TBH after being taught gun sense from an early age by my folks, it felt very wrong to be pointing a 'gun' at someone.. it was fashionable back in the day to call them markers, which I felt more comfortable with..
  16. Mine went in to Thames Valley Police on Monday, so fingers crossed its a fast turn around I already hold an FAC issued by TVP so hopefully that negates the requirement for a visit and checks etc??
  17. Try to get him a pair of socks for each day.. Trespass or Sports Direct are good sources.. Try and get them the same thickness so they are consistent in the boots. If he's boarding then thickness / quality dont matter as much as the boots are more forgiving than ski boots. I find a clean pair of sock a day are 10x better that a couple of high end sock which will get stinky VERY quickly. Two pairs of glove, so that one set can dry out between uses. This time of year will be v-slushy in the afternoon so everything gets wet thru. I always recommend dual lens goggles. Single lenses are a waste of time. They do not have to cost much more used than a pair of single lenses. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Oakley-Ski-Snowboard-Goggles-/331161018402?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Skiing_GogglesSunglasses_JN&hash=item4d1abc2022 Get him some mini funsize chocolate bars (Mars / Twix etc) for extra fuel on the slopes and to buy off friends etc HTH! T
  18. or look at Nissan Navara's .. Seem to get the same amount of truck for a little less money than an L200. I visited my parents in Hereford recently and they've got a Mitsi dealer choc full of nice L200's. Down here in the South East its a different story...
  19. Asking specifically about FLIR is very subjective. I would suggest trying a few manufacturers out and seeing what you (and your wallet!) prefers. A few pointers to look for tho' : Dont be too put off by resolution. 320x240 modules are perfectly acceptable (640 x 480 is much better tho) Check the contrast. I found FLIRs to be a bit washed out and lose a little detail particularly against dark backgrounds Non US units (ie NEC from Japan) do not have the 9hz restriction put on them by the American government for civilian use Observe how often it re-calibrates (goes blank for a second) . All modules do this, but some do it more often than others and can become annoying If you want to read up more, FLIR do an excellent guide found here: http://www.flir.com/uploadedfiles/eng_01_howfar.pdf HTH! Rich
  20. Looks almost definitely like the printer part to me... http://www.makerbot.com/blog/2013/02/22/replicator-2-extruder-alternative-some-spring-in-your-step/ Classic British reporting... Why let the truth get in the way of a good story
