  1. +1 I chose a CG Magnus as an upgrade to my B725 sporter. The CG is a much better gun in my opinion. The action was always too stiff to open, and it had to go back to Browning once to get it sorted. Also when I shot the B725, I always used to get a weird vibe through the stock, which is totally absent from my CG..
  2. TVP have had a number of issues over the past couple of years. One excuse seems to be the cycle of renewals hit a busy patch about a year ago, then they had an air-con leak which got them evicted out of their offices. I think it took me 8 months for an FAC/SGC renewal this year :( Just dont let the application sit dormant like I did, or it will stay at the bottom of the pile.. forever
  3. I was also a member of this club. It would be an absolute shame to see it built over. There are so few rifle ranges left in this country as it is and almost impossible to get a new one started due to red tape etc.... Duly signed
  4. Also look at a service plan as it might work out cheaper in the long run. Personally I wouldn't let Halfords (or KwikFit for that matter!) change a lightbulb! As others have said, if there are any issues down the line they'll do their best to wiggle out of it.
  5. Sportpursuit does good deals on Sealskinz. I swear by the socks for beating, and have already stocked up for the coming season. Not tried the gloves yet though. https://www.sportpursuit.com/catalog/product/view/id/838113
  6. That's the same stuff that i'm treating my Navara chassis with. I've heard good things about it. Unless Craig is just very good at pimping his product
  7. Another really cool trick is to save the measurement then right click on it and choose 'show elevation profile' It will then give you a profile of exactly what you are shooting over. Could be useful on long range stuff

    Oculus Rift

The PS4 VR set is out in a few months so might be worth waiting for that to come out as it will be supported by a bigger manufacturer at a lower cost. TBH, I wasn't that impressed with an OR headset I tried a few months ago.

    B725

I've heard/read that as well. But can you explain how my 725 could fire both snap caps reliably every time without the inertial assistance of recoil?
  10. A local talk radio dj quickly got the population numbers for Newham while this was kicking off. It seems that blacks were in third, then whites with asians in first place. Made a total mockery of their cause really. I am rather suspicious as to why they just didn't go under the Plane Stupid banner unless they were half expecting a public backlash.
  11. If you look at the CG Facebook page you see nothing but praise for their level of customer support. Far better than Browning etc.
  12. Have you got any other add ons you can try? Personally I use Exodus, and fall back on to Phoenix or DNA if I can't get a reliable stream.
  13. Back boring explained http://www.browning.com/support/frequently-asked-questions/back-boring.html Obvs we know better than Browning CG et al?
  14. Interesting, as the very well known shooting school near me has dropped their silver pigeons in favour of b725's.. Ironically i've sold my b725 and upped to a CG Maxum
  15. You could buy a complete replacement chassis for about 750 quid. I'd like to know what Nissan are doing with all the trucks they are busy buying back.
  16. My renewal went in November 2015.... still waiting
  17. It's going as soon as the warranty runs out. It's a shame as it's a decent specced truck and was going to be a keeper.. I could get a duplex timing chain fitted, but it's over a grand in parts and labour. Poss Amorok or Hilux next (if funds allow) Back on topic Www.buzzweld.com
  18. Yep, snapping in a different place than the UK ones though.. OZ trucks snapping or bending behind the rear spring due to a mix of overloading, 6 versus 10 bolt tow-bars and **** chassis design. The UK Navaras are snapping in front of the rear spring exactly where the gap between the cab and the bed is. The chassis are rotting due to **** QA in the Spanish factory.
  19. Depends what you are towing mate. Yes there are reinforcing plates available from third parties, but the number one cause of snapping seems to be rusting of the main rails from the inside out. At least Nissan are trying to address the problem with FOC chassis swaps or buy back offers, but not actually admitting publicly that there is a serious manufacturing fault. I would recommend to anyone on here who owns an 06-09 D40 Navara or Pathfinder to get on to the Navara snapped chassis group on Facebook.
  20. Going to try Buzzweld on my 15plate Nissan Navara chassis. Its supposed to be getting a good rep from LR Defender owners, and they should know!!
  21. Isn't Vinnie still the President of NOBS?
  22. 2nd that! Don't pay for guff when you can get it all (and more) for free! Requires a few add ons to make it useful though
  23. But if scot land join Europe, does the oil in their territorial watesr automatically become the property of Europe to offset their net deficit? Can 'o worms..
  24. Potentially Scotland have just got their fishing rights back from the EU, so emotions will run high from the coasts to the cities if Sturgeon (irony) hands it all back on a plate!
  25. I was in exactly the same boat as you.. New Navara D40, 46yrs old, Safe Neighbourhood. Getting quotes between £800 and £4k! Ended up going on the Mrs Multicar :( Try the Navara forum There are a few guys on there who specialise in Pick-up insurance
