  2. Well that was stunning. The point at which the image filled the screen and went to colour was jaw dropping. An incredible amount of work has gone into the restoration of the footage and the sound mixing was brilliant. The way they have smoothed our the frame rate digitally to avoid the sped up Charley Chaplin look we’re familar with is a technical marvel. A really well done production. ...BUT why was this tucked away on bbc2 with barely any promotion? It deserved a much larger audience. Sadly some folk probably aren’t interested and would rather watch X Factor. If you missed it I urge you to catch it on IPlayer, I think it’s only there for a week.
  3. I’m a web designer and In my professional opinion it’s very average looking and rather dull. It does nothing to make the sport look exciting. The home page is just a mass of text. There’s no use of block colour to break things up a bit and create a bit of contrast. Typography is also quite ugly. Overall not impressed.

    Super Man Flu

If people were a bit more careful with their hygiene then this flu epidemic would be under more control. I’ve seen people sneeze and cough into their hand and then proceed to shake hands with people! At this time of year when bugs are rife I don’t touch any door handles in public places bare handed, always wash my hands before eating and generally try my best to stay away from sickly people. The most annoying people are the ones that still come out of an evening and proclaim that they don’t feel well but thought they would come along anyway and spread their germs. Selfish.
  5. I see Ripple prices have crashed since last week.. https://www.express.co.uk/finance/city/902895/ripple-price-down-xrp-crashing-crypto-exchange i was close to investing last week and so glad i didn’t, a 50% loss in less than 7 days wouldn’t have been a great start to my first crypto investment dabble!
  6. Scum bag parents breed scum bag kids and then they go on to breed their own scum bag kids and so it goes on. I was in Tesco Express the other day and witnessed a couple of little ****s in hoodies trying to shoplift, could have only have been 13-14. The shop keeper threw them out, but they didn’t give a damn, zero respect. The parents probably have no idea what their ‘little angels’ are up to, probably too busy in the pub or sitting at home on their backsides. Some people really shouldn’t be allowed to procreate.
  7. Not that easy so I’ve heard. My brother looked into it but a real ball ache so gave up
  8. Don’t worry about it. I’ve used many different macs at work and at home for over 20 years and never once experienced virus issues or heard of anyone that has. Just make sure you regularly backup your data and forget about AV.
  9. This is a shame and a bit of a shock. Yes Uber has it’s problems and their ethics are questionable, but the times i’ve used the service it has been extremely efficient and very good value. The same can’t be said for Black cabs and the Underground. How about a tube service that runs beyond midnight (it’s 2017 ***!) or a better value pricing structure for black cab fares? I feel far safer using Uber than a clapped out minicab. The drivers i’ve had are very polite and their vehicles are immaculate. TfL and the cabbies are standing in the way of technological progress and will make life more difficult for a lot of Londoners, especially the lower paid workers that work anti social hours and need late night travel options. Uber do need to address their mistakes, but putting 40,000 drivers out of work seems like a harsh decision by TfL.
  10. Are you SURE you were watching GOT? All the things you describe couldn't be further from the truth. These episodes are some of the best directed TV you'll ever see. The writing and character development is also top drawer. I would start at S1 and give it another try. It took me a few episodes to get it, but then I was hooked. It is without doubt THE best television show ever made. I'll be sad when it's over.
  11. Finally got to see this in IMAX last night! An incredible cinematic experience. I urge anyone that wants to see this, DON’T wait to watch it on the small screen at home. This really is one of those films that needs to be seen on the biggest screen you can find. The cinematography is stunning, especially the aerial scenes. Never has a Spitfire been committed to film so beautifully. It’s an understated take on the war film genre, but all the better for it. Don’t go expecting a blood and guts Saving Private Ryan type of movie, this is not that type of war film. That’s not to say it’s not immersive, it really is. From start to finish I was on the edge of my seat, the Spitfire scenes are as close to being in the actual cockpit as you could imagine. I think it’s refreshing to finally see a hollywood WW2 movie from the British point of view. A really well made film that deserves all the plaudits it’s receiving.
  12. Apple have the right idea, this feature should be compulsory on all mobile phones. https://www.macrumors.com/2017/06/05/do-not-disturb-while-driving/ It’s a great idea, but it’s still down to the user to enable it. The idiots that text and chat whilst driving will just switch it off. At least Apple are trying to do something about it. Phone ‘notifications' have become a major distraction in our lives. Whilst driving they can cause you take your eyes off the road for only a few seconds, which is all it takes for an accident to occur.

I must get it serviced as it hasn't been done for years.
  14. Lots of people earn far more than those in the emergency services, what do you suggest we do about it? Pay fireman £400,000 each a year? You can't compare those that work in the entertainment industry with those that work for public services.

    e-mail address

If you want to appear professional then don't use gmail or outlook email addresses. It makes it look like your business is too tight to spend money on a proper email address. For most businesses it's the main method of contact so do it properly, get a domain and a proper email address at that domain, it doesn't have to cost much. Get a decent IMAP account and it will sync across all your devices.
