  1. There here.... by god they are here.... The greatest Armada i have ever seen assembled.... and they were heading SOUTH! Ok that was a bit OTT,Was out Sat morn and seen a decent amount at the Eden.
  2. So this year i plan on visiting some new places to fowl. My dilemma is that to get to these areas i would have to carry my gear in plain sight of the public for a short while.. I dropped the camo for drap colours but still worry about walking with my gunslip on show. Seen some guys break their gun and stick it in a rucksack, which would be a grand solution. Would a surplus bergen take a broken gun with 28" barrel? What does everyone else do? Cheers
  3. Ah thanks, did see some posts but no signage, Does that take you through the fenced road with fields either side, parallel with the Tay?
  4. What's the story with Monorgan Farm? I went for a recce a few months back, found the shelter for the book but just seen signs everywhere saying no entry for Wildfowlers. Couldn't find a way to the foreshore and didn't want to **** of the landowners so i just headed back.
  5. Shot the Eden last year. Hoping to try the Tay this year.
  6. I might be a little bit late on replying to this thread.. But does anyone use sneak boats around that area? Port allen looks like a fine place to launch.
  7. Also have Koala neoprene chest waders from fleabay. Does the job, cheap and has neoprene down in to the boot. Although on a stormy day with plenty of layers, hold back on the coffee. ******* like a racehorse soon becomes an ordeal.
  8. Second the Avery ones with the velcro flap. Have the folding one which takes a browning 28" maxus + code black goose choke, and also fits Benelli Supernova 28" with code black duck choke, just!
  9. I like the chorus, it's catchy.
  10. Found one! Thanks for the link, forum ******** up for me tho.
  11. Have a Browning factory extended 1/2 choke if that's any use? Invector plus, came with a Maxus.
  12. Everyones around here is saying heavy snow is coming this week, Can Geese predict this, and bugg out?
  13. Want to get a Super Nova but stuck on barrel length 26" or 28" Does it make actually make any difference performance wise.? For wildfowling and general pumpbaggery. own a 28" Maxus which feels unnecessarily long.
  14. First ever bird on the foreshore this morning & first ever pink. Watched Hundreds lift off the estuary to head off in the opposite direction. Was sitting having a last ciggy and the dregs of coffee, doubting my foreshore skills. Seen a lone bird coming straight at me sending coffee and fag ash flying everywhere. 1 for 1 quartering Neck/Head shot and elation, with a bit of sadness.
  15. Still nothing in the bag yet. Some enjoyable flights on the Eden though. Last night was a bit bizzare, a German family & toddler casually strolled over the banking after reading the wildfowling sign for a good 10 minutes. Right between me and another guy. Then continued to almost jump in the hide with me. And did it again 20 minutes later on their way back! Frantically sheathed gun, but what can you do?
  16. looking for above max 4 camo would be ideal. thanks.
  17. Used lyalvale express super game 42g 1's for inland canadas in scotland last year. did the job
  18. Hey Bought a Pattern Master Code Black Goose choke in invector plus for my Browning Maxus. a bit worried that it is not sitting entirely flush with the muzzle. Does anyone use this combo? and is it just the way the chokes designed? it just looks a bit odd. The Maxus came with factory invector plus chokes, and the patternmaster choke i bought was winchester/browning invector plus. Checked on the official website which says i got the correct choke, but just wondering as i heard they had a product recall on badly fitting Benneli chokes a while back. Cheers
  19. Yeah tried the secretary email but not heard back, will need to have a look for a phone number.
  20. Hey thanks for the reply Aberfowl. Any chance to get out and learn would be grand.
  21. Hello all! Newbie from perthshire seeking advice. So i tried a few inland geese flights last year and loved it, would like to start wildfowling but don't know how to go about it. I had a look at the BASC permit schemes and tried to get in contact with ESAWC, but heard nothing back yet. From a pest control background with the odd driven pheasant & decoying. Got some gear, a Maxus and BASC insurance but no clue what to do next! Any advice would be appreciated.
