  1. Greystoke Castle (Lovely B&B in an old castle and a close pub that I rate quite highly), between Penrith and Keswick. They even do stalking days... Very close to to the Helvellyn and Blencathra Mountain Ranges. 20-30 min drive from Keswick. I believe Tarzan is supposed to have come from there too, at least it's a talking point...
  2. I think away from view but accessible for you is probably a good rule of thumb.
  3. Sounds like an excellent day
  4. I'll be happy to take this off your hands.
  5. Seeker, that is exactly the point I was making! Know of any good pads that aren't inserts?
  6. The grounds provide the carts with the lessons, I'm not sure there is a choice. Although I know she'll be shooting a 20 gauge whereas I would normally shoot a 12.
  7. Hi All, Over the last 6 months or so I have been getting clay pigeon lessons locally and last week my girlfriend asked if she could come for a lesson too, which I'm pretty happy about of course. However, when she was little her dad (farmer) perhaps introduced her to recoil a little too early, or she wasn't holding the gun tight enough into her shoulder; either way she has asked me to find a good recoil shoulder pad for her. Any advice on good ones? I ideally don't want to spend more than £30. Thanks
  8. Instead of reference the cell in "seats", I would use a vlookup. So cell on the main sheet (where you want guest name to appear) =vlookup("range on seats sheet & use dollar signs",2,false)
  9. 1 to 2 months too early for me I think :( Still trying to get my new home in order and securing the garden will probably be one of the last jobs completed.
  10. When will they be ready to leave their mother?
  11. Looks like a very nice shoot and great pictures!
  12. It depends where you mean in the North East, but this place has been recommended to me before: http://www.greenleedeer.co.uk/deer_management_courses.htm
  13. Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and thought I'd say hello. As far as shooting goes, I'm very new to the sport. I recently took up smallbore target shooting with the odd day of fullbore and clay pigeon shooting thrown in too. Nevertheless I am eager to try my first day shooting out in the wonderful north-east countryside.
