  1. Completely agree with you there Elvis.
  2. Had my first ever go with .22r at weekend at Yorkshire Game Fare. Don't own any rifles only shotguns so thought would have a go with one. Don't know what make it was other than it was bolt action but felt like perfect gun to get out on the bunnies with. I had 12 shots and first shot got centre on target followed by another 9 very closely grouped and this was without a scope just using the sights. Was really impressed with it so much it made me think of FAC just don't have the land to use one on at the minute.
  3. Looks like they didn't order enough rubbers!
  4. Not sure where abouts in Chesterfield you are but we have a couple of people come from chesterfield. https://www.facebook.com/PebleyGroveFarmShoot/
  5. Also got a pair of altbergs and love them. Due a new sole soon so next time I am passing will be dropping them in.
  6. I wouldn't mind having a go at that sounds like would be a good laugh and something a bit different
  7. First and only new gun I have owned is my Beretta 690 Black.
  8. I had the DPF replaced on my v50 at just under 80k. It went back to the garage I got it from and in end they ended up taking it into Volvo and they tried to run to force the regen from the computer but still didn't clear it. I had the engine management light on and was in limp mode and wouldn't come out of it In end they said the DPF was shot and needed replacing. Think it came to around 400 fitted which I was suprised at for a Volvo dealer. From reading the net I was expecting a bill of around 1k. Mine is a 2009 1.6D
  9. Big +1 on this. The electric ones are a right pain in the **** and are just utter ****. Likewise with the manual you are lucky if you get a bird in the air that doesn't have a wobble!
  10. With bikes I always start with all the basic (cheaper fixes) and rule them out first... Filters Plugs Battery Fuel pump Not sure on the YBR 125 but my Suzuki had a diagnostic mode where you put a wire to bridge the two pins on a connector and it gave you any fault codes which you could easily get from the web might be worth checking if yours has similar as the bike could tell you what's wrong and save you hours of trial and error
  11. I know you squeezed another fiver for a Yorkshire lad so you did well.
  12. That was one of the prizes that I had my eye on sabs however didn't even have any numbers close in the raffle!
  13. I have never shot anywhere like hodnet so was an experience for me. The distance was something I wasn't used to so was struggling to figure the lead out on some of the clays but think I would of got it with a bit of practice. When I first saw that high long midi at the top it got in my head and was convinced I wouldn't be able to kill it! Got in the stand took my time and took my time and tried to work out how to kill it and then it exploded to my amazement I killed the thing! Now I think if I had the opportunity to shoot somewhere like that with the excellent layouts available think it would help improve my shooting no end. At the end of hodnet I got 54/100 which I was happy with and hopefully if I went there again I would be looking to try get into the 60s I think a lot of it comes down to your head and as soon as you get in the mindset that it's hard and you won't hit it that's where your problems start. If only hodnet was closer I would be back and trying to figure a few of them stands out as really enjoyed challenging myself and think I need to do it more
  14. Haha yeah as soon as I saw the pic you posted DM I could see the resemblance
  15. Just had a look if I had one but the one I have is side of hazard so not much use
  16. Where do i start.... Firstly thank you to all involved in making today happy it was a great day and amazing to see all the money getting raised for a very worthy charity. Secondly thank you to everyone on the Squirralbosher's Sweet Chestnuts squad who made the day even better This was my first N v S and i thoroughly enjoyed myself all day. It was also great to put some faces to names. The ground was amazing and thought all the birds were really well presented and interesting targets. Some of them testing me way past my ability but was good to have a go at them and even have the added bonus of hitting a couple. The second bird on the top of the hill stand i think was my favourite (2 out of 4 wasn't bad!) Anyone any idea how far out that bird was? Another favourite was the one with the chance of getting both birds with one shot (which i managed twice may i add... ) Would loved to of done another round of that layout and seen if i could of improved at all on the score as figured some of the traps on the last shots. The weather was kind to us and we only had one quick down pour that lasted a minute or two and then was dry for the rest of the shoot until we got back to the cabin. I only managed a few pictures on my phone which are below but i think i might think about bringing my camera next year and have a play around with it between shots. Really looking forward to next years now. 18. Got my trusty Tomtom as back up 👍🏻
  19. So got a curtesy car whilst mine in for fixing and it's got Satnav however I no idea how to use it!! Just tried and it doesn't let you put full postcodes in! I can only get TF9 3 in! Then it asks for a street but they don't have a street on their address! It does take coordinates so doesn't anyone know them? Or does anyone know how to use Satnav in the new shape Clio?
  20. Least you won't have a thick head in morning salop sniper
