  1. I've tried to limit his time ever since I met her, the problem is the father. We're looking to move further away from him now and do you know what his initial response was?.......the Internet speed isn't very good. His son is a loner but has come round a lot since I've Been involved, he's 12 has no friends won't involve himself with anyone and will go out of the way if we have people are around. Personally I think there's something else going on with him and we've tried ( myself and my partner) to have him looked at but both the schools and doctors keep saying its a maturity thing. His daughter on the other hand is completely different, she's nine has loads of mates and is a right girly girl but he's got her obsessed with the Xbox and computers as she's been brought up thinking its normal!. It's also hard because we fall out a lot about it plus it's hard to spend time with him because he just wants to avoid everyone and play on his computers.
  2. My partners son is 12 and spends every hour of the day on either his Xbox or his laptop playing silly games, I'm not against this just think the time he spends on it needs limiting. His dad's the same, no woman and plays on the Xbox/computer constantly, he does nothing with his kids. He has them on a Friday night until Saturday evening and all they do is sit and play games. I know this is none of my business but I'm worried my son will grow up thinking this is normal and might want to do this instead of enjoying the outdoors. What's everyone's views on these things and how much time do you allow your kids to spend on them. Russ
  3. If it's ok I would just like to ask for some input for my partner. Here's a sample of the food she can get and the prices she's thinking of retailing them at, they're not all stocked and she can get hold of quite a few other brands. The Food that's stocked in the shop is Arden grange, Autarky, Harringtons, Burns, Burgess, Alpha and Arkwrights. I've not been in Lincoln long but I haven't found anywhere that stocks a decent range of working feeds and thought it'll be an area she can look into and maybe generate more business for the grooming side of her business aswell. Alpha puppy £20 for 15 kg Pro plan puppy £38 14 kg Arden Grange puppy £38 12 kg * Beta puppy £32 15 kg Alpha maintenance £13 15 kg Alpha sporting dog £13 15 kg Dr johns silver £11 15 kg Autarky £23 15kg Harringtons £23 15kg Collards £38 15 kg Burns original chicken £44 15 kg Skinners duck and rice £25 15 kg Beta £31 15 kg Arden grange chicken and rice £30 12 kg* Arden grange lamb and rice £33 12 kg* Burgess sensitive £30 12.5 kg Hills science plan £40.50p 12 kg * for some reason Arden grange have stopped doing 15kg bags

Without trying to get into an argument because my knowledge of unions is poor. Would the OP have to be a member or could he simply join for them to act on his behalf?.

The company you work for are they 100% above board with everything they do?. The only reason I ask is when I left school I worked in the packing department of an egg processing plant and some of the things that they did were way off hand if not illegal. I wasn't there long and they never really upset me so I left them to it.
  10. Thanks cueball, hopefully the steroids he's on will kick in and help his body start to produce red blood cells. If not he'll have to carry on with blood transfusions every 4 weeks, which he's been having since he was 6 weeks old. You wouldn't know he was I'll if you met him, he's a normal 18 mth old boy, just a little pale. Hopefully it doesn't have any long te effects on his development but one things for sure, I can't wait to get him out in the open and hopefully he'll enjoy the things I do. If not I'll try and enjoy what he does.
  11. I've packed everything up since my son was born. Sold my guns and let my licence run out, kept my lab but gave away 3 of my cockers as I don't have the time with my son being ill. I was hoping for better news on Christmas eve about his health and how his treatment will go but will hopefully find out on the 11 th of January. As soon as we know what's happening with him I'll pretty much start where I left off, but get more into the training/ trialling side of things rather than just shooting. Hopefully Russ
  12. Welled up here RIP little man
  13. Two charities we donate too are the Anthony Nolan trust and DBA uk because our family have four sufferers of DBA and a bone marrow transplant might be an option for my son if all else fails. I can't comment on what Anthony Nolsn do with there money but I know DBA uk uses there's for research into the illness and holding weekends at the likes of pgl where the kids can do all the activities while the parents learn what's been happening within the research as it's a really rare disorder. All this is free if charge but you're welcome to donate and everyone within the charity I believe are volunteers as the committee changes yearly amongst the parents and carriers. Russ
  14. Autarky is made by the same company that makes chudleys, Dobson and horrell I think they're called.
  15. thanks so far for the replys, so far she stocks Arden grange, burns, alpha and autarky and a couple of other brands.
  16. What dry food do you use and what are you paying for it?. I know this has been done to death but I'm more interested in prices as my partner is trying to push the dog food side of her business and as I don't think there is anyone in and around Lincoln that stocks a good range of working food I thought she might be able to explore this avenue. Thanks Russ
  17. I was pulling your leg
  18. You'll always pick viruses up off porn sites!
  19. Ah dot and dab, 4" screw and brown plug. Thought you meant stud work.
  20. I know what you mean Mike, they're all pretty useless. I find the twist in ones the best but no good if you want to take the screw back out.
  21. Spot on, he'll have hours of fun on that!. Can't wait for my son to get to an age where he can play with something like that
  22. If he is, I hope he reads this David grow some balls you're a complete bell end
  23. Although Lindsey and her other two children suffer with DBA they have it a lot milder than our son who's motivated her hold this event. Here's a pic of of me and my world From 6 weeks old he's had to have blood transfusions every 6/8 weeks, he's 17 mths now and he's about three weeks into a steroid trial to see if they can kick his Bone Marrow into producing red blood cells. Everything seems to be going ok so far but we're trying to get the steroids down to a safe maintenance level while still helping his body produce its own blood.
